PREMIERE: Tshxlx Irl - Dance In The Rain [Moskalus Records]

Using Pamela’s PRO Workout as a creative quantiser for external CV. A sequence from the Quaid Megaslope is patched into CV1 and locked to notes in the minor scale. 

Here, output 1 of the Pam is used like a quantiser for the Quaid Megaslope’s short CV sequence, controlling the pitch of a simple bass line.

To set up external quantisation with Pam:
- Reduce the output level to 0%
- Set the Cross Operation to ‘Mix’
- Set the Cross Source to ‘In 1’ (CV1 in acting as the source)
- Connect any unquantised CV to the CV1 input
- Select a scale from the Quantize page

In this patch, basic quantising is taken further by increasing the output’s Level to mix a small amount of the Pam’s square wave back in with the external CV. When set to a slow division, this functions like automatic transposition as the 2 signals mix pre quantiser.
