An NGO is stepping up efforts to raise awareness about mental health in South Sudan. 

WellBeing Foundation South Sudan (WFSS) is a National NGO that focuses on creating awareness to mental Health and helping society find solutions to start a healing process.  

According  to one post - conflict study from Juba , South Sudan they have found that 36% of sampled population 1,242 met criteria for posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and 50% for depression.  

Akuac Ring Nyuon, Founder and Country Director of WellBeing Foundation South Sudan is calling for collective efforts to help combat mental health problems.

Akuac spoke to Radio One's Cheliya 'Cheri' Emelda during the Drive Time Show.
