Je napsaná bizarním neonormalizačním jazykem, argumentuje zjevnými nepravdami a je průhledně manipulační, přesto je třeba brát petici Vyjádření a výzva umělců a kulturní veřejnosti k AVU, CJCH a NG vážně. Je totiž krystalickou ukázkou přemýšlení starší generace umělců, kteří jsou sice vesměs velmi úspěšní a bohatí, ale stejně mají strach z toho, že je někdo ohrožuje a bere jim jejich svobodu. Umění je pro ně stejné jako závodění v bazénu, ženy ničemu nerozumí a mladí lidé jsou indoktrinováni jakousi nebezpečnou ideologií, zatímco oni jsou prostě jen „normální“.

Petici, kterou za týden podepsalo něco málo přes dva tisíce lidí, se v novém vydání Studia Alarm věnovali Magdalena Dušková, Stanislav Biler a Karel Veselý. Je dalším varováním, že starší generace má ve společnosti své páky a když se jim něco nelíbí, nebojí se je použít z pozice autority. Je s nimi lepší mluvit, a nebo jim spíš dát najevo, že do některých věcí by neměli zasahovat? Jak se stalo, že z mladých radikálů vyrostli staří konzervativci? A co s rozložením české společnosti udělá další vychýlení populační křivky?

“I dream a lot. Or rather, I remember a lot of my dreams, since we all dream. It is there, in me, very strong and very present since my early childhood. Nested, lucid or premonitory dreams, they are a mode of perception in their own right. Unfortunately, they are often seen as pure fabrication of the mind or a mirage. However, to dream is to set a course, to forge a vision.

The dream is a power, a meaning that we can work on and develop. Beyond my personal experiences, I question the role and function of dreams in our world. Utopias and fictions are essential tools that guide the collective. Which trajectory is desirable enough for me to dream about ? Do we still dream of the future ? Individually, collectively?

My voice is accompanied by a selection of songs with evocative names, reminiscent of the dream.”

When looking at Simo Cell’s discography, Simon Aussel could be easily affiliated with the UK bass scene having released on imprints such as Livity Sound, Timedance and Wisdom Teeth. With that being said, the Paris-based producer is also deeply involved in the French scene where he has worked with the infamous BFDM crew and Fragil Musique while also collaborating with artists at the forefront of the underground such as Bambounou, Low Jack, the Pilotwings. While performing worldwide (Australia, Japan, India USA...), his contribution to the local scenes is also of significant importance, as is the opportunity to share knowledge with younger producers through various workshops and masterclasses worldwide, all of which make up a regular part of his schedule. Simon likes also to cross disciplines and collaborate with singers and musicians such as the Egyptian performer Abdullah Miniawy. He is known for developing his own structure to push young French talents to produce. Having DJ-ed for more than a decade and taken part in several collectives, Simo Cell is not preaching for one scene or a particular style, he represents a highly original and adaptive repertoire that facilitates unpredictable and dynamic sets.

It was quite a long process to figure out where to record the field recordings, in the end it made sense to do it somewhere where we simply felt good and far away from our daily struggles. 

Mugel is based on sounds we collected during our escape to the south of France.

Radio Labe’s first VA compilation features 14 tracks by Czech and Italian emerging artists. The contributors were asked to create an audio track using field recordings from a specific place and attempt to capture the diverse sounds and unique energy and cultural fabric of their surroundings.

The album is a journey through underground streams, offering an unconventional perspective on club music as well as more ambient and atmospheric genres.
