Psy-Chick showcases her love for industrial techno and the harder side of electronic with this new Auction mix. Melissa discovered the electronic club scene through the many EBM/darkwave/industrial themed nights she began attending in Phoenix during her early years. These genres and shows inspired her to become a DJ and as she’s explored other genres, she still considers these darker sounds her favorite to return to.

Gigi Basso is a DJ and Event Organizer based in Berlin, Germany. She helped form the FLINTA* Collective ‘SubAllies’ in late 2021 to highlight the importance of FLINTA* technicians, organizers, DJs, performers and ravers, whose support keeps the subcultural Berlin rave scene evolving and alive. SubAllies celebrated their inaugural event this year on International Women’s Day by hosting a demonstration and raving through the streets of Berlin. 

As a DJ, Gigi Basso reps the Diva Techno genre which features hard, forward pushing bass lines while intertwining with a sexy, bouncy and soulful attitude. 

Notes on the Mix ///
"I first encountered rave culture after moving from New York to Berlin 6 years ago and with this mix I wanted to create a cultural care package highlighting some of the Northern European sounds which have defined my raving experience over the last years. Included are tracks from producers based in Copenhagen (Schacke), London (Céilí), Paris (Maxime Iso), Berlin (Alien Rain, Asquith), Stockholm (Billie Jo), Glasgow (AISHA & Franck) and Amsterdam (Lilly Palmer). Together this created a hard techno and trance inspired mix with dark, atmospheric ornamentations plus a hip-hop surprise."

The artist probably achieved more in our field than most do in a lifetime. P-T2’s understanding of music and night culture goes this deep because they already lived every aspect of it - as a dancer, bartender, host, as a DJ and producer, as labelhead, as an activist and as head of the famous club Rote Sonne in Munich. Made from all these impressions she formed the persona taking place in the DJ booths now. Their sound? The very best of - one part electro, one part techno, every part acid; sometimes playful, sometimes avantgarde, sometimes spacey, but always on point.

As the head of 99cts rcrds Miley Serious ( @mil3-3ri-vs ) has cultivated a sound equally influenced by acidic and electro club sounds as it is by post-punk and industrial, releasing a roster of underground heroes including Drvg Cvltvre, Machino, Grey People, and DJ Ketaflush. On top of this she has kept a monthly show on Rinse France - streamed on Rinse FM as well every 3rd Wednesday of the month, while also maintaining a busy European touring schedule and Asia tour- further pushing sets that mix acid house, ghetto house, industrial and electronic on international dance floors. She is the new resident of the infamous berliner label/event series Killekill that co-produce Krake Festival. Miley also curates the special event series "All About Miley" at La Boule Noires in Paris where she hosts acts from post punk scene, djs and electronic live performances.
