It takes more than being in the top 1% of Nicki Minaj “Super Bass” listeners to get a nickname like ‘Bass Boss’ to stick. With a signature sound that weaves genres from all over the map with hypnotic bass lines, when it comes to Amadeezy, “eclectic” is an understatement.

Starting out going to shows in the Boston scene, he would go on to host and DJ one of the most popular monthly nights around before getting into dance music production more heavily. Earning repeated play time on outlets like NTS Radio and Boiler Room, alongside shows that take him across the country and globe, Amadeezy’s notoriety as an artist is growing by the day but the Bostonian behind the bass is still a mystery.

So, even in the midst of his busy schedule which included just wrapping sets in LA and Miami and an upcoming show in Madrid, Amadeezy took a quick breather to talk origin story, inspirations, music as a ‘career’, the legendary PVRPLE, and much more in our latest Pirate Radio. Hannover rooted and Mexico based @bennet_bb let us meet with his signature sound of house and provides a cheeky and fierce contribution to our podcast-series. He's part of DJ-collective Soft Spot. A group founded in 2019 by queers and FLINTA*s that seeks for queer- feminist politics on and off the dance floor.   

His mix contains an hour of delicate and seamless vinyl-only mixing in which he plays oldskool house and progressive rollers. Engulfing basslines, loopy drums and oscillator riffs are the main drive of the mix. As soon as the needle hits the record the pre-orgasmic intensity of his groove is already tangible and unconsciously soaks you into an uplifting energy. Combine that with goose-pimpled classic house vocals and before you know it you’re imagining being on a dance floor getting a glimpse of the meaning of togetherness. EKATA is a UK based DJ/Producer + Natural Selection Resident who's productions are characterised by their dark and atmospheric soundscapes, driven by pulsating rhythms and intricate synth work. With an emphasis in storytelling and cinematic moments, expect dystopian electronic music with alot of depth.

She's an Electro advocate first and foremost, and her vision has always been a powerful force which radiates out of everything she does. 

True to her character, she embodies everything that is the sheer essence of artistry; self expression, authenticity and never wanting to fit to the mold whilst having knowledge and respect for the history and the inspiration she derives her passion of electronic music from.

She mainly sticks to the dark and eerie side of Electro/Techno in her productions & gigs, where she will take you on a dark and twisted journey through a dystopian world. EKATA knows who she is and the journey she creates elevates the music into something more. She likes the music to work cohesively, and she prides herself on having a clear vision that is apparent every time she plays.
