Codeword welcomes @o-utlier, Irish native and London-based producer, DJ and soon-to-be label owner. o.utlier’s music traverses ambient and rooted 4x4 techno, resulting in a dream-like atmosphere of journeying and transcendence. 

With releases on labels including Efdemin’s Naïf, Fred P’s Boards and Appian Sounds, o.utlier  is navigating the plains of electronic music with originality and quality. 

The Astral Industries resident is set to return to the DJ booth this August at Iklectic in London and Ufonic Festival in Italy, as well as launching his own label alongside Hems later in 2021 focusing on drone, live recordings and spatial sound.

Today we'd like to introduce Seconde Aride.

What you can hear in Seconde Aride's sets is a medley of sub-heavy, breaksy and deep beats covering a wide range of styles. This one is a rather low-paced ballad weaving somewhere between ethereal deep techno, ambient, and stuff that never asked to be classified. Yet, samples all have an identity, be they recorded from the depth of the sea or generated by the chip of a synth. Seconde Aride approaches djing as a way of aggregating these ecosystems in his own fashion, thus creating new sonic worlds.

L’ultima chicca musicale che vi proponiamo a chiudere la serie di set del Komorebi Music Festival 2022, è stata il risveglio caldo con cui il nostro resident Euca ha voluto ritemprare fronde ed arti all’apertura del sabato. 
Dopo tre anni di freno e mancanze, ha voluto regalare 4h di viaggio al nostro luogo preferito dove la musica della natura fa da protagonista indiscussa. 
Un intro ambient con sfumature field recording, un corpo downtempo per poi incalzare ritmi più minimal e pitch down. Una prestazione poliedrica che va’ riascoltata tutta d’un fiato, con gli occhi chiusi, per tornare a quel momento intesamente delicato.

The last gem that we offer to close the series of sets of the Komorebi Music Festival 2022 was the warm awakening with which our resident Euca restored fronds and limbs during the Saturday’s opening. 
After three years of slowing down and shortcomings, he wanted to give away 4 hours of journey to our favorite place where the music of nature is the undisputed protagonist. 
An ambient intro with field recording shapes, a downtempo body followed by more minimal and pitch down rhythms. A multifaceted performance that must be listened to all in one breath, with eyes closed, to return to that intensely delicate moment.

Dj y productor de la escena techno madrileña, bajo su pseudónimo se esconde Luis Cantalapiedra, pionero a finales de los 80 de las sesiones techno en la capital, recordado por su residencia en la sala Voltereta y su participación junto a Oscar Mulero en el proyecto Altered State.
Ha publicado en sellos como Semantica o Transhuman

Human Lessons #031 - Saphileaum

Growing up in the countryside of the Netherlands, Matthijs Verschuure found himself surrounded by endless polder horizons, green fields and the sea. It didn’t take long however for @mattheis to find his residence in the industrial harbour town of Rotterdam, where he further developed his synthesizer explorations and crafted his propulsive, hypnotic sound.

The @nousklaeraudio mainstay signed his first release “Isms” with the label in early 2013, followed by a handful of EP’s, remixes and two studio-albums; “Kindred Phenomena” (2016) and “Thin Sections” (2018). His most recent works include collaborations with French label @ahrperecords founder Amandra (@amandraaa), plus a solo EP “A Falcon’s Eyrie” (2020).

Mattheis' Patterns of Perception 61 expands on his modus operandi in the studio, featuring rolling waves of insistent rhythms drenched in a deep ambience of atmospheric sounds, with a focus on subtle changes serving the greater whole of the recording.
