o•rbyss aims to help soothe the queer spectrum and focus on the well-being of the community. Queer DJs are invited to submit a mix to showcase an alternative side to their music library outside of a rave and take us on a meditative journey. ✨

Notes on the mix:

“This mix came as a result of a month of being away from home, I was on vacation and partying off the *brat girl* era in me. During most of the hot summer days I would shelter with my friends inside and chill out to the tracks in this mix. I went back and selected some of my favorites from recent releases and some tracks I recently dug up in a close friend’s collection after spending most of the summer together. The mix is also my love letter to the wonderful souls I shared music and the summer days with.”

Stefan Strange draws from his deep connection to Skopje’s queer scene, having started mixing during the pandemic to create and expand local alternatives to commercial music and conventional club culture.

His sets are a dynamic blend of genres and styles, from 90s progressive house, tribal rhythms, and ballroom beats to nostalgic old-school gems, all infused with a dose of trance and techno that transports listeners ont a cosmic journey. Stefan’s approach to mixing is both soulful and energetic, with tight percussion and driving grooves that keep the dance floor alive. His playful and fluid mixing style creates an atmosphere where genres bend and blend seamlessly.

Recently, Stefan launched Insomnia, a party series in Skopje that champions queer artists and innovative sounds, all with a classic touch. Insomnia is designed as a sanctuary on the dance floor, where queer safety and expressive freedom are at the forefront.

Radio Raheem is an independent online radio station streaming 24/7 music and visuals from Milan with a cosmic perspective.
The radio, located inside Triennale Design Museum.
The platform aims to support and elevate a genuine and diverse local scene while keeping an eye to the moon and the galaxies far away.

Opificio is a Venice-based project dedicated to audio and visual experimentation.

The collective behind Opificio curates different years-long projects and partnerships in and out the island. Currently going through its fifth year, the project has been challenging the city and its urban decay since its inception, actively creating space and activities for the island's residents.

Through this platform, people from different backgrounds can engage in a variety of projects, where the role of the local artistic scene remains a key element.

We are mainly a sound-space where people coexist, collaborate and experience themselves.
