Insomniac Radio over in Los Angeles invited me to play a guest show for them during Pride Month, I wanted to use this show to highlight some of the incredible music we have coming up on my label (CONTR4ST) this year, as well as music by dear friends! :)

What makes a good dance floor?
When the dance floor turns into a hive mind. Dancers and DJs alike — all in one groove. The energy is always created together.

What is the best play time?
Warm-up! There’s nothing better than a real long opening slot, where you’ll edge right before the climax several times to hand over the decks with a hungry audience to the next DJ.

What was the idea behind your mix?
Honestly? ALIS. and I have played b2b together several times, and we never once planned anything. We just naturally vibe. Also, we both have the track library to go anywhere—that’s why we trust each other 100% to be able to follow any story.

Tell us about a magical club moment.
Definitely closing the LoFi Courtyard in Amsterdam at sundown together. We played b2b, and it was just so much fun. Also, the crowd was all in!

Why do we need club culture?
In times of AI music and the late-stage capitalization of the music business, we need places to remember the history of music and what it always has—and will—mean to people. It is one of the last bastions to completely let go with strangers and feel into your body through art.

How did you start playing music and what drives you?
G: Probably around 12–13 years ago. I'm driven by an endless curiosity to discover all kinds of genres and subgenres and the story behind them. That’s why you’ll never be able to pin S2G down to a genre.
