For Trushmix 226 we got Brand in the mix. The Oslo based DJ and producer, and also working at Filter Musikk record store in Oslo. Keeping the vinyl spirit alive for all the underground DJ's in Norway.

Brand has released on Sunlab and the Oslo based label HMD, and is also a designer for the Montreal based label Dustworld.

Here he has done a one hour mix end 90's early 00 house and techno, all records he has been digging in the vast creates of Filter Musikk. This is a live recording he has done at Panu in Oslo, where Brand has his residency.

Mr Afrosoul-rocker of the crew, grew up on James Bown, KC & the Sunshine Band or Kool & the Gang, he quickly did search of vinyl between '68 & '75 for their revolutionary atmosphere or political identity. Then he grew up with the sound of Johnny Guitar Watson, Jimmy Castor Bunch and The Count, but as any collector after years of research, he discovered something else and began to buy some albums of soul music from africa and caribbean ! That's the difference with other continents, a terrible cultural impact, the clash of civilizations when you listen to a piece afro-beat and Afro-funk for the first time. That is real , ask the program !
