Radio Wore is a band from Denton, TX, that is constantly looking to push the boundaries of traditional classic rock by experimenting with a mixture of unique sonic palettes. They achieve this by blending the sounds of The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and Nirvana, with Rival Sons, Tame Impala, Glass Animals, and the “Denton Sound”. Radio Wore has been recognized by the likes of Dave Grohl, Frank Hannon (Tesla), Jared James Nichols, iHeartRadio's hard rock radio station 97.1 The Eagle (Dallas), written about in VoyageDallas Magazine, heard on YouTuber SpectreSoundStudios’s live stream and featured on the Audio Carnage Podcast. With the release of the “Los Gatos EP”(2019), & "Slaves and Sinners" (2020) the band has garnered quite the buzz in the local DFW music scene. In 2022, They will be releasing their single "Holy Light" a commentary on religion, war, and the future which further explores new uncharted sonic territories.

Why Bother?

Salute Me is the follow up to Radio Wore's debut EP "Los Gatos" which was released back in February 2019. This new follow up single is a newer take on the "Radio Wore Sound". It compasses the new elements of art-rock and a new experimental sound while maintaining the high energy hard rock spirit. This new sound will be the band's future.

"Slaves And Sinners" is a song that was originally written by Radio Wore frontman Kaarthik Tharmiya in January of 2020. Of course, as time progressed and the events of the year 2020 followed the words and message behind the song gained much more meaning and weight behind it. With the help of drummer Kieran Gibbs, bassist Jonah Trachtman, singer-songwriter Avery Lyda, keyboardist Ian Clark, and producer Nathan Clark, Radio Wore did what they do best and transformed the song into an arena rock style anthem. "Slaves And Sinners" lyrically explores the hardships and feelings of someone living in our world of pain and chaos. The verses highlight a hopeful voice praying for better times to come while the more intense sections such as the pre-chorus and chorus explores a voice crying out for help. All of these elements combined serve as a build up to the climactic finale of the song. We at Radio Wore would like to share "Slaves and Sinners" as an anthem and mantra for better times to come.

Slaves And Sinners

Radio Wore, is a Rock N' Roll band from Dallas, TX based in Denton. The band was formed in September 2017 and started their journey as live musicians on Feb 6th, 2018 at the back of a local taqueria, "Killer's Taco's". Featuring Kaarthik Tharmiya and Ben Gerber on Lead Vocals and Guitar, John Pierce on Bass, and Kieran Gibbs on Drums. Radio Wore brings the attitude and sound of classic rock by mixing elements of blues, funk, and punk while maintaining a fresh modern feel. If artists such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, Slash, Zakk Wylde, Jared James Nichols, Dave Grohl, Chad Smith, Vinnie Paul, The Beatles, and Nirvana had an awesome Rock N' Roll love child the end result would be Radio Wore.

After a whole year of playing shows in the local Denton and Dallas music scene Radio Wore's debut EP “LOS GATOS” featuring songs such as "Texas Jam", "Fallout" and "LOS GATOS" was released to the world on Feb 8th, 2019. The EP showed off a glimpse of what Radio Wore has in store for future releases. With recent support from the likes of iHeartRadio's hard rock radio station 97.1 The Eagle as part of a weekly show hosted by DJ Debbie Sexton to being featured on VoyageDallas Magazine the band. With the well received release of "Salute Me" and "Slaves and Sinners" the band plans on following it up with the release of their single "Same Ol' Song" which will be a commentary on the current state of the music industry in a genre and arrangement that will capture the listener's attention.
