Gnawa ambassador S.I.M.O (Simo Lagnawi of Electric Jalaba) joins UK collective Hippo Sound System and producer Count Bassy to bring you a unique fusion of North African and Gnawa inspired blues with Global Bass! This is a psychedelic journey into the desert where ancestral rhythms and traditional Gnawa instruments (such as the Gimbri and Krakebs) meet the thriving global bass culture, topped off with a powerful message of peace and unity from S.I.M.O who sings in both Moroccan Arabic and English. 
3 versions of the same song have been released: original mix, 110bpm mix, unplugged.
"Tiniri" is part of the forthcoming Hippo Sound System debut album, released 2023 on Galletas Calientes Records.

About the journey :
 This was recorded live at Ηλεκτρον Cafe last Friday in my Down To The Tropics event. So it's a 2 hours vinyls "Down To The Tropics mix". Starting with some Bossa-Nova, Bossa-Jazz and Latin Jazz, then moved into Kompass and Biguine from Martinique, Guadeloupe and Haiti and finnish with some cool Calypso and Merengue from Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobacco. Hope that you'll like it.

For their 4th session, Dubmission Records presents mixes by artists they've released this month: from Finland, Dreadlock Tales with a Mantra Dub set; from New Zealand, Shankara NZ with a live lockdown show.

To celebrate the release of "The Light Within", a collection of remixes
of tracks from their "Third Light" album, Pitch Black asked London based
DJ Liquid Lounge to cherry pick from over 20 years of remixes to create
this special mix.
Label DJ for the Shanti Planti collective, Liquid Lounge has over 25
years’ experience, travelling the world playing tunes ranging from dub
to techno, chillout to breaks. Now he mainly indulges in groovy bass
laden beats, chilled electronica and dub infused rhythms, with an
occasional uptempo soiree every once in a while!
