I'm particularly proud of the Psychedelic/Progressive Rock breakdown of this track. I used some sampled loops and then added a Minimoog and additional synth fx.
Most of the sounds used in this track came from vintage analogue synths and effect units. Hence, the title, "Retroactive".

Svess, aka Sophia arrived in London in 2003 and went to her first psytrance party shortly after...this was the moment when her love for psytrance began. Never ever had she heard or felt music in this powerful way before.

Sophia had a huge interest in music from an early age and is classically trained in violin, guitar and singing. For her, the composition, rhythm and detail of psytrance felt more right than anything else. After many years of blissful experiences on dance floors all over the world her desire to learn how to mix had grown very strong.

In early 2014 she started her journey as a progressive and full-on DJ, and very quickly become a frequently booked DJ on the London underground scene. She is a resident dj at the monthly London party SecretSoma and has also played at events such as Tribal Village, Chrysalid, Progressline, PsyDoors, Secret Soma, Triptonarnia, Alternative Waves, Made in Transylvania, Carry On Regardless, Parallel Universe, Elixir of Life, Freak Bazaar, Astral Circus, Noisily Festival, Solarafayre Festival and many more.

Svess plays groovy, deep and energetic full-on. In 2015 she started exploring the more psychedelic sounds of Twilight/Forest and this has become her much preferred sound.

Her sets will take you on a powerful energetic and hypnotic journey filled with the full spectrum of psychedelic emotions.

Inverse Out is the vigorous Psytrance duo hailing from Finland. These guys are well-known faces in the global psychedelic scene with their other projects Frosty Fennic (Jukka Surakka) & Tim Duster of Rye Smugglers (Timo Kollin).
Jukka has already been playing since 2004 under his other Psytrance projects. Of these, the most familiar to the audience will be Frosty Fennic, which is kicking up dust on dancefloors around the world. Timo is one of the most respected and experienced psychedelic Djs in Finland. He is creating danceable style of modern Psytrance music that keeps the dancefloor moving all night long.

Warsaw based DJ, NOIS of Egodrop - one of Polands most active Psytrance crews. Nois has been playing out as Psytrance DJ since 1999, throughout Poland and Internationally; playing alongside many of the Psytrance scenes most respected names.

Russian based DJ and Producer SUNGIRL is a respected name throughout the Russian Psytrance scene and Internationally renowned for her driving sets that ignite your soul from Russia with psychedelic love!

UK based DJ, SVESS started DJing in 2014 and has quickly become a regular name in London, throughout the UK and Internationally. Her style can best be described as groovy, deep and highly energetic, ranging from daytime psychedelic to deeper darker night time moods.

Rounding off the show we have UK based DJ & Producer, EXTRINSIC. Frustrated by the increasingly rip-off commercialization of the rave scene, around 1995 Ed and crew began organizing their own illegal parties around Kent under the name TRIBA. By this time, the music of choice was leaning toward Goa Trance and early Psychedelic Trance.
