but all explore a territory that is both familiar and strange, uncertain
yet compelling.

For their 7th session, Dubmission Records present a pair of mixes from opposite sides of the world. From Mexico City, Sudden Reverb presents "Dub a la Mexicana", a collection of contemporary electronica, taking in dub, trip-hop, jazz, funk and more. From Auckland, DJ Automatic has unearthed his DJ set for Pitch Black's gig at the Powerstation on 16/09/00, held to celebrate the release of their second album Electronomicon, which has just been pressed on vinyl for the first time.

On the last 2020 edition of Lost Minute series you can hear two guest mixes by FIBA and QUENTIN HEATH.

Fiba lives in the beautiful small town called Keszthely which is on the coast of Balaton, the largest lake of Central Europe. He has been organising parties and fanatically collecting vinyl records since the 90's, mostly in the techno, minimal and house genres. He is also one of the main organizers of Hungary's most acknowledged, underground electronic music event, "Alkotótábor". He's been a regular guest in Hungarian radio shows and also manages a club series called "Easy Sunday".

Here comes the 2nd VLASTUR Locdown mix, this time from Paros Island.

Vlastur started his journey into music as a Bass player. Back in the mid-80's, he was a founding member of the Cohash Funk, an underground funky Athenian group. In 1998 alongside Frequency Freak, fellow Cohash funk guitarist and Spiris, a dubby drummer, formed "Apeuthias Syndesi" now known as Direct Connection, a dub experimental laboratory. They released "Dub Infection" in 2007. Even though he started as a Bassist in Direct Connection, he was the main FX Sound Engineer of the band.
In the meanwhile, he was also working as a session musician with various artists and bands. In 2004 he teamed up with Palyrria an ethnic-electronica band and in 2005 recorded "Methexy" with them and has played in many of their gigs.
The (InterAxion Dub-2009 Equation recs) project was the first full-length work of Vlastur. Influenced by all his beloved sounds from Dub to Dubstep through Psy, Ambient, Drum n' Bass and Traditional Mediterranean sounds!
In early 2015 Parvati recs released the EP "Parvati In Dub by Vlastur".It's about an RMX project by him in Dub with some of the very well known tunes of Parvati label artists flavoured by Vlastur's sound!!(second part is on the way).
He participated like the bass player in the superband "Novelty Engine" with the artists Ajja, Cedric "Congo" Myton, R.ZEE Jackson, Steve Hillage (System 7), Miquette Giraudy (System 7) , Dick Trevor, Ott and Dymons on August of 2015 and 2016 at the main stage of OZORA Festival in Hungary.
Except for those artists, Vlastur has co-operated with artists such Gaudi, Bombay Dub Orchestra, Irina Mikhailova, Etnica, Tengri, Jef Stott and others.This period he is working on a new live improvisation project called Herbal Orchestra with Merv Pepler (EatStatic), Basil Brooks(Gong,Steve Hillage Band, Zorch )and Gabor (Operenzia)
Vlastur Dub Band is the fully live project for him. The active members right now are: Dark Elf (Synth/Machines) , Adil Smaali on vox and Moroccan instruments, Nikos Korkovilis on drums, Nickolas Yiakoumis on guitars and special guest for our last gigs has been Daniel Symon a.k.a. Dymons on percussions.
On September 2019 he released the EP " Vlastur Dub Band in Trance"(Parvati Recs) which is based on the live performance of the band at Ozora Festival Hungary (main stage) 2018.
He has played live in many countries all over the world by his self or with the band.
Vlastur believes that the sound evolves constantly while the vibe remains the same, from Rock n' Roll to Punk and from Dub to Psy.

Mental Bugs is the Mexican psychedelic project created by Gilberto Castro and Jair Osorio in early 2017. Jair started his career as a DJ under the name Mugwump, then decided to study musical production, making the perfect fusion between raw talent and knowledge. That’s when he met Gilberto, who, having previous experience collaborating with alternative punk and rock bands, decided to enter the world of electronic music. By mixing ideas, hours of hard work and dedication, Mental Bugs was born, a creation that unites the musical talent of 2 masterminds! In 2018, they were invited to be part of the Swiss label Digital Shamans Records by launching their debut EP « Swarm Intelligence », which gained great acceptance across the dancefloors of the world, achieving international recognition. Currently, they are working in collaboration with world-class artists and many tracks planned to be released in different parts of the world. Mental Bugs gives us a new experience, full of unimaginable atmospheres, tiny beings and groovy basslines that lead the mind on a pleasant journey, full of psychedelia like a mental experience on the dancefloor.

Hello, my name is DST. I've been playing and producing different kinds of intelligent electronic dance music since 2001 on a really wide spectrum: dubstep and it's friends (2step,garage,grime,breakstep,dub-techno), glitchy genres (glitch-hop, glitch-breaks,experimental glitch IDM stuffs) and dubwise genres (dub, roots, dancehall).
I've been dj-ing on several events since 2001. I set-up with my friends the hungarian dubstep event-serie Dub Phase and I had central role in the hungarian dubstep community in the golden age of the genre.
DST as radio-dj:
I've been hosting more radio-shows but the longest and recent of them is the Dawn Tempo. Usually I play deep dubstep in my radio show entitled Dawn Tempo on radio Tilos I run since 2004 on Radio Tilos, Budapest on FM 90.3 or www.tilos.hu.
DST releases:
I have several releases vinyl, most of them are digital releases, but I also have a 4 tracker vinyl release, that released in 2007, that is the first hungarian dubstep vinyl release.
I was asked by Dj Bodoo so I collected a bunch of dub-techno with some dub tunes and included an unreleased tune from me you may have never heard anywhere! Worldwide premiere! What to expect in the mix: deep and dubby sound, a lot of space, meditative music, perfect background music for star-gazing out of the window or reading your favourite book.
