Ego-T (Zenon records) is Tobias Engqvist, born and raised in the small town Västerås in the middle of Sweden. He´s been active as a dj since 1999 and is one of the most respected dark progressive djs in Sweden. Signed on Zenon records 2009. After being signed by Zenon and getting noticed by international promotors he has started shaking dancefloors around Europe as well.  Festivals as O.Z.O.R.A. (Pumpui), Freqs Of Nature, Psychedelic Circus, Transylvania Calling and Swedens only legal psy/progressive festival Genesis Festival. He is also the founder of party organizations as “Nexus Nimbus”, “The Wicked Crew” and also the club “Club Demented” in his former hometown with his very close friend Mikael Kalliomäki. Currently located in Stockholm and in full focus on a new project called “Spontandansens Främjande”, a organization created by a bunch of close friends with the same mental disorders, focusing on Progressive and Zenon-style events.  Besides the interest in parties, music and grooving, Tobias is an audio engineer and got a diploma degree from SAE Institute. You can be shure that this ego will give you a real journey into the deep world of Zenon records. Dance, trance and release the ego inside of you!

X Dream should be probably my favourite Goa Trance or Psychedelic Trance or you name it Trance band. In my opinion they created truly timeless music that is completely their own, and this 'X Dream' sound, inspired so many artists, your humble servant is one of them. So I took the liberty to fiddle around with one of their finest and most gentle creations, I changed very little and used the original sounds whenever I had the chance. The only main difference is in the main break of the track.

SONOCHROME | In Focus | 12/07/2025

In Focus this time is TRABANT. In his own words: "Representing 2to6 Records, my musical journey was born in the nightclubs, forests, caves, and stone pits of the Swiss underground psy scene. This set ranges from spooky forest psy situations into a more spaceship type of deal, always with loads of weird sounds and strange atmospheres. It contains tracks that are released on my debut album and various compilations, tracks that will be released soon, as well as tracks that will probably stay locked in the depths of my hard drive for eternity." Trabant starded DJing and organizing parties in 2012, as well as his own production in 2017. When a certain virus started to go wild in 2020, he decided to take his tunes to the next level. Luckily, he was able to set up 1on1 online tutoring sessions with Electrypnose, who helped him release his album on 2to6 records in 2023. Since then, he has been trying to build some connections and has released 1 track on Excessus Records and 2 on Woo-Dog Recordings.

We present a hybrid set from SOLAR KID in this Kafka Tempo episode. Blending selections from Kafka Tempo and Zenon Records with her latest release alongside AKA NINA, the journey closes with a taste of her unreleased creations. Raised between Serbia, the UK, and Sweden in a family of musicians, Solar Kid grew up immersed in sounds from around the globe. With roots in harp and vocals from an early age, she carries a wide palette of influences into her current projects. Since founding her downtempo project Solar Kid in 2008, now blossoming into releases on Zenon and Kafka Tempo, she has also lent her voice to collaborations with Younger Brother (Simon Posford & Benji Vaughan), Zyce, Liquid Soul, Tribone, and many more.  Her mixes embrace both the dark and the playful, moving fluidly between psytech, acidprog, and deeper shades of experimental sound. This episode reflects that eclectic spirit, a journey that is as atmospheric as it is driving.

Braincell Set - Own Spirit Festival

MORSEI recently joined Dacru Records. Consider this a 'Welcome to the Family' mix! MoRsei is the psychedelic trance project of Francisco Manzano from Buenos Aires, Argentina. His journey began in 2013 when he attended his first psytrance festival and soon felt inspired to create his own music. By 2015, he started producing and developing a powerful, cinematic sound influenced by Hans Zimmer and Tool.  His tracks, known for organic textures and melodic depth, quickly made waves in the Full-On scene, reaching the #1 spot on the Beatport Psytrance Top 100 multiple times. Over the years he has released on top labels like Digital Om Records and Shamanic Tales, and in 2025 he joined Dacru Records.  MoRsei has collaborated with many leading artists and recently launched a side project with DigiCult under the name Arcana, further cementing his place among today’s most impactful psytrance producers.

Looking through my old DAT's, I found this forgotten gem… This was made in Januray 1999. It's a remix of Atmos' classic Klein Aber Doctor done by myself and George Barker, released as Slinky Wizard vs. Green Nuns Remix….BUT this version was done after we had put down our final mix…. Simon popped round for a cuppa and did a live mix on the mixing desk. In the "olden days" before making everything inside a computer people would make their sequenced mix then put everything on a loop and make a live mix on the analogue mixing desk twisting the FX and EQ's, playing the desk like an instrument……this was a trick learnt from the days of Youth's Butterfly Studios….. Simon P., Ott and Greg Hunter were masters of this.Then you could edit it down into a few minutes. So this is Simon's live mix of our remix….its about 19 minutes long and very psychedelic! Enjoy!
