In this show, Stereo Society features JAMES MONRO and his latest 3-track EP "Rogue Planet" out on the label. Before the mix also featuring the tracks of the EP, we will be talking to James about this release and news for the newest year. James Monro's immersion within the music industry goes back some 30 years. Having been classically trained at school, James' musical influences diverged into a long and keen love affair with all things electronic. All the while collecting the music as he went, finding and creating his sound, and starting up the now legendary Flying Rhino Records with 2 friends in 1995. With the dawn of the new millennium, the demise of Flying Rhino Records, and the development of his new label 4DigitalAudio (with his label partner Grant Collins) he took time out to settle into his own rhythm again. He started to produce both alone, as James Monro and as 4D with Grant, and 2012 saw his Midnight Ramblers pseudonym (with George Barker, one his partners from Flying Rhino) gain traction with an appearance on John Digweed's Bedrock release “Structures Two". James is always pushing the boundaries of what constitutes house or techno, and his passion for his craft has never faltered - his global schedule is testament to that. He's been touring the globe for nearly 30 years now, and still can't get enough!

In Focus with us this time is QUANTALOOP presenting their Studio Live Sessions - Ozora 2024 Mix. Quantaloop is the collaboration of two minds, Pasquale De Luca and Étienne Sarrazin. Together they explore the concept of storytelling through the cyclic progression of psychedelic techno. Their mission is to bring the auditor into a different world staged by sensations of physical quantum traveling. Elusive and twisted motives meet hypnotic ornamentation all surrounded by time morphing atmospheres. All of this to pull the listener into their quantic orbit. About their set, Quantaloop adds: "This set marks the continuation of our studio live set series where we deconstruct released and new unreleased tracks and play them live with a whole bunch of loops and effects! Recorded in our studio it allows us to add a bit depth than what we usually do live. This live set is the culmination of years of tweaking that has lead to this unique way to play our tracks! This is the PRANA album "Sense of Unity" Teaser Mix by TSUYOSHI SUZUKI. Tsuyoshi Suzuki is an internationally acclaimed DJ and producer and is based in Tokyo. At the forefront of the psychedelic trance movement for a quarter of a century, Tsuyoshi continues to thrill audiences around the world with his uniquely focused mixing style and psychedelic music selection. One of Tsuyoshi's projects, PRANA, the Goa trance band that stormed the music scene in the 90s, are back with their first new album in three decades, Sense of Unity. Over the past few years, Nick, Andy and Tsuyoshi have been composing tracks to release a new album together for the first time since the band formed in the 1990s. The first step in the reunion and 30th anniversary project was the release of a 2-disc vinyl set at the end of December last year, followed by a CD of remixes from some of the best producers in the business. The themes were not exhausted. The Prana Mix by Tsuyoshi, which will be released with the digital version in March 2024, should be listened to as a teaser for the digital version.
