Techsafari presents DOPPLER with a live set he recorded in his home studio. Doppler, the progressive psytrance maestro from Mexico, boarded on his journey into the realm of psytrance music in 2002 with the groundbreaking CD album "Cosma - Nonstop". This pivotal moment served as a catalyst for a profound change in lifestyle and triggered within him an inexhaustible source of inspiration. It was only a few years later that Doppler dove deep into the sonic cosmos to cultivate his unique artistic vision. Taking inspiration from esteemed producers such as Audiotec, Symbolic and Zen Mechanics, Doppler embarked on a quest to forge himself its own sonic identity. Since his first release in 2016, Doppler has electrified audiences at countless events and festivals across Mexico, capturing the hearts and minds of psytrance aficionados around the world. His musical odyssey reached international shores with his first tour of Italy, cementing his status as a rising star. Under the wing of TechSafari Records, Doppler's artistic evolution has reached unprecedented heights, with an electrifying collaboration with none other than Zen Mechanics and mesmerizing remixes for revered artists such as Liquid Soul and Kalki.

In over 20 years of label work, I have seen many artists come and go.
Many of these artists were really very ambitious.
But they didn't stand up to the pressure in our music industry.

Producing music is a very time-consuming and expensive
business. 
You have to constantly adapt to the high production standards.
And that's not a cheap business and an enormous investment of time, 
at the expense of your life, your friends and your family.

The biggest problem is probably that in our market, which is dominated by booking agencies 
and monopolised by a few artists, new talents hardly have
a chance to present their music at a party.
Even we, Drukverdeler & DJ Bim, are hardly recognised as a live act. 
even though I have been writing music history as a DJ and manager for over 30 years.

Our example is perhaps one of the best to show how entrenched our market has become.
When you sit in the studio for years, producing music that works on the dancefloor, 
but you are simply ignored or overlooked by the organisers
it's more than difficult not to lose the passion and courage to keep going.

It's not just about the few hundred euros that a new live act gets today,
to reinvest in his studio. 
Rather, it's about living his dream and playing his music in front of an audience himself.

At some point you just ask yourself why you're still doing it, you hear other DJs playing your music,
you see people on the dancefloor partying to it, but you as a producer are simply ignored.
At some point, you reach the point where you give up, switch off the power in the studio and spend your free time 
with your family, your wife, your kids and your friends.

I therefore approached three artists who, just like us, have been trying for years to establish themselves on our market 
and somehow get a little more recognition, but are simply being overlooked.
They haven't given up yet and I hope they won't do so any time soon.
Because I see great potential in them, not only in their creativity, but also in the functionality of their work.
Because at every party where I play their music, there is movement on the dance floor.
And that's probably the best statement you can make.

The next episode of Berlin-based IONO Music‘s series will be brought to you by ONE FUNCTION.

Music has One Function , To make you feel. From the second the sound waves hit your body and soul it touches your nerves and transforms your senses. Where and how will that feeling take you in the sonic journey depends on your mood, personality and your surroundings. But it is that first contact point, that magical moment when you get hooked that set the rest of the tune.
This One Function, the first contact point will be facilitated by Jenia Akerman from Israel. Akerman started his musical experimentation since he was 16 years old, playing in outdoor parties and quickly having the itch to make his own music. Influenced by inspirational artists such as The Delta, Cosma and Hallucinogen, Akerman decided to take his craft seriously and at the age of 19 went to BPM music School. Polishing his ideas and artistic identity, he released his first release in 2009 called Tropical Energy on Spliff Music. Exploring his abilities even further, in 2011 Jenia started his first solo project Unicode, a melodic and uplifting Progressive Trance fusion. As Unicode, Akerman released his tunes in all the big labels such as Iboga, Blue Tunes, Spin Twist and Iono Music.

As Jenia’s project developed he decided to go back to his roots with Progressive Trance under the alias One Function. In this project Akerman decided to focus more on spirituality, while combining oriental vocals and old school elements, which create his own unique psychedelic interpretation. His first release as One Function – Back to My Roots EP – was released in 2015 on Iono Music and received immediate attention across the world. Supported by the biggest names in the Psytrance scene, from Protonica , John 00 Fleming , Egorythemia, Yahel and Guadium he is conquering the global sonic sphere. After playing in many indoor and outdoor events including: Australia, Swiss, Germany, Israel, France, Argentina, his path to your One Function is set.

Through cutting edge beats and groove, this duo has managed to create a particular frequency that penetrates the regular formula. Having restructured different rhythms and melodies and created new dimensions of audio experience and bodily movements, they are true Mindbenderz.
Mindbenderz is a new collaboration between two creative artists that decided to share their common interest of exploring and bending new sonicscape. The duo consists of DJ Cubixx, aka Mattias Sperlich, who is also the Head of Iono Music from Berlin, Germany, and Philip Guillaume, aka Motion Drive, Blue Vortex and Rumble Pack, from Switzerland. Together they combine decades of experience of both mixing and making electronic dance music, and thousands of miles playing in the top dance floors across the world such as Voov, Fusion, Antaris, Ozora. Adding to this recipe their individual interests and expertise, they create a special kind of sound that takes their rich musical past into the next level of art.
