Josko
From Acid raves and pirate radio stations in the ’90s, to Psychedelic festivals around the globe, Giorgio Gatti aka Josko has been collecting and playing records for more than two decades. In 1991 he got in touch with electronic music through an underground Italian radio station, which broadcasted music from techno pioneers like Jeff Mills. Here he discovered his love for “turntablism” and mixers, and from then on his life revolved around the exploration and research of music – the beginning of life as a DJ.
Throughout his career he has developed a distinctive sonic repertoire, drawing on a hypnotic, deep and academic take on techno music.
He does not confine himself to trends and musical categories – his emphasis is on feeling and depth, and the emotional potential of sound. His sets create a unique sonic patchwork, creating an eclectic combination of sounds to deliver a hypnotising groove that moves the dance floor, both physically and emotionally. His tripped-out and futuristic take on Techno is informed by its original Detroit roots, as well as Dub, Psychedelia, and even sci-fi sounds – all part of the technologically-minded culture that he grew up in.
Josko’s approach to music, and the final result, is unique – he aims to go beyond the assemblage of different tracks to create a musical symbiosis – a sonic experience that goes beyond the sum of its parts, drawing on modern and early techno, contemporary and experimental downtempo beats, to snippets of speech and atmospheric soundtracks.
His obsession with electronic music has gone beyond these moments too: his collaboration with music labels has helped other artists to be heard, and his organisational role in the Psytrance festival scene – notably in encouraging space for more eclectic electronic music in the Alternative Stage – has helped make these musical moments possible on a much larger scale.

Nuno
Nuno has been always interested in music and technology. This interest has been met in his love of electronic music. In the past he found the soul of electronic music with Techno. He takes much of his inspiration from artists like Jeff Mills, Richie Hawtin, Carl Craig, Derrick May, Juan Atkins, Mathew Dear, Basic Channel, Robert Hood, Hearthrob, Jpls, Skooozbot and Ricardo Villalobos. From a musical perspective was so new by the music and the originality of the sounds. Tribal, hypnotic, deep, sexy, technological and futuristic music.
Being born in Porto Alegre, south of Brazil, in 2006 he moved to London with plans to improve his knowledge. In the last few months he began to make eletronic music. As a DJ, he never been satisfied simply mix two tracks together and has long to increase his mixing by incorporating many possibilities provided by technology. The technology continues to grow, so does Nuno's curiosity for using it to open up new possibilities. His sets vary from house to techno always creating different atmosphere in the dance floor. He performs at underground and clubs in London at some famous festivals in Europe and Brazil.

Emiliano aka IshDub was born in Italy and raised in Puerto Escondido, Mexico; influenced by the sun and surf vibes of the Pacific ocean, his passion for Dub and Reggae music began. He studied audio engineering in Rome and played in some clubs there, after this he started to travel with his music and he has played in countries like Hungary, Sweden, Italy, Spain, Mexico, Panama, Argentina and Germany... He is now based in Mexico City. his live act contains a wide range of dub and chill varieties, always with the Rasta ideology's positive vibrations.

Unknown Reality is the 4th project of Ralph K. showing the more chilled side of his creativity with music influenced from ambient, downbeats to dub. After producing Psytrance and Progressive for nearly two decades, here he comes back to his roots as a guitar player, percussionist, and computer musician who combines electronic elements with natural instruments and field recordings to create gently evolving soundscapes and rhythms. A full-length Unknown Reality album is planned for this year, but there are no further information yet available, so stay tuned...

Dive into the debut EP of SCORCHING DOSE, alongside a selection of recently released tracks and unreleased pieces from his upcoming album, set for release at the end of 2025 on Woo-Dog Recordings. Expect a journey through story-driven dark forest psytrance, ranging from 148 to 160 BPM.  Scorching Dose is the creative outlet of Alper Ertem, emerging from the shadowy corners of France’s underground scene, particularly the raw energy of teknival free parties. Quickly recognized by Woo-Dog Recordings, he fuses dark forest psytrance with eerie natural atmospheres, dissonant textures, and hypnotic grooves influenced by underground tekno.  Before music, Alper worked as a video artist and writer, now channeling his storytelling skills into deep sonic narratives. A devoted figure in underground culture, Scorching Dose draws inspiration from Central Asian shamanism, infusing his music with mystical and primal energy.

This episode features ORIGINZ with a DJ set recorded in Japan for the Aladdin Party in Koga, Ibaraki. The mix is a condensed reflection of his twilight side, focused on grooves and light energies. Originz, aka Raphaël Atlan, is a 30-year-old psytrance activist from Lyon, France. A label DJ for Sangoma Records since 2019, he is also the founder and director of Outrance, and works as programmer, stage manager, and social media manager for major organizations including Hadra, Own Spirit, and Ethereal Decibel.  Since 2015, Originz has performed worldwide, and at renowned festivals such as Ozora, Modem, Hadra, Own Spirit, Wao, Son Libre, and Ethereal Decibel. His style blends energetic and pumping psytrance with groovy forest atmospheres, creating a unique balance of depth and lightness on the dancefloor. After releasing his first VA Eagles Rising in 2020 on Sangoma Records, he went on to play Modem Festival in 2022 and Ozora Festival 2024 b2b with Rajax, his duo project.

NayaJayan is a musical experience through an exploration of psychedelic sound as a pathway to healing and self-expression.

Raised in a musician family, sound was always part of the surrounding, which brought her a real passion and admiration to musical art. In 2018, the project took life in the Swiss rave scene until reaching audiences internationally. Since then, her interest and curiosity for music production and sound modulation has only increased, bringing her productions to a constant path towards evolution.

Oscillating between meditative stillness and intense, dark energies, the experience is infused with forest textures and spiritual depth. Each set invites listeners into a mysterious realm, a passage through the void where sound becomes real, and transformation is allowed.

 


Turyia_Rec. Podcast Series/Guest Series #084 NayaJayan

Fl!p is the psytrance DJ project of Melbourne resident Alastair Roberts Thomson. Born in South Africa, Fl!p was introduced to electronic music in his very early teens through bands such as The Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers & Faithless. He first listened to trance music by stumbling across tracks uploaded to mp3.com and was instantly hooked by the genres driving baselines and powerful melodies. In his late teens he started attending many uplifting trance events where he began encountering some DJs playing psytrance tracks at the end of their sets.

It wasn’t until he attended his first doof, Strawberry Fields 2011, and witnessed Dickster’s sunrise set, that he truly understood the essence of full-on psytrance. Over time, his taste evolved towards the darker, more psychedelic styles, and he now loves playing night time psychedelic full-on. He enjoys this style the most as it takes the groovy elements of full on and mixes them with the twisted leads of forest & dark psy to create a blend that is perfect for a high energy dancefloor.
