MOONBASE PATEL DISCO | Ubikeklektik Festival - Live from the Studio | 17/07/2021

For February woashing routine, we’ve invited a locally known Parisian from the 90’s GOA and trance period. Even though Pépé has been around for quite some time now, over the last few years he released many banging EP’s and singles that found a place on our family's playlists. 

Pépé also owns and curates L'Acid Render-Vous party night and monthly show on @rinse_france where he hosted dozens of established names to explore and share sometimes slow, but mostly psychedelic sound.

Live recording from the third instalment of the Odyssea series, a monthly space themed event hosted by the Moonbase Patel Disco in Edith club, Budapest.
 
The lunar crew has launched its first Earth residency after returning to the Planet, putting an end to their 45 years long top-secret space mission, including psychedelic research and running the first extraterrestrial dance club on the Moon. Their current objective is to popularise dancing upside down among humans.

Sonoridades do samba e da cumbia, mesclados com diversas vertentes do downtempo eletrônico são a marca dos sets de Corazón. Natural do interior do Paraná, Corazón (@pablitocorazon) é músico, Dj e produtor musical. Radicado em Curitiba, foi baterista da Audac, tendo lançado um álbum produzido por Gordon Raphael - produtor de dois álbuns da banda The Strokes. Se apresentou em festivais como o Popload Gig (SP), Meca Festival (POA), FARM/Picolé (RJ). Passou a apresentar DJ sets no James Bar, onde foi residente por quatro anos. Enquanto membro do núcleo GATOPARDØ, se apresentou no Adhana Festival e conta com 5 lançamentos pelo selo fonográfico. Em performances ao vivo, o artista busca despertar no público sentimentos de pertencimento e aproximação cultural, ao apresentar novas roupagens para composições que já fazem parte do universo da música brasileira e latino-americana. Já lançou também pelos selos Shango Records (Grécia), Ohxalá Records (Portugal) e Fértil Discos (Argentina).

With releases on the likes of Hard Fist, Calypso, Get Physical and Playground, Argentina's Balam finally drops his first full artist EP on Multi Culti, a label where his blend of tribal percussion with folkloric samples and modular synth riffs couldn't be more at home. These five trippy sub-120-bpm tracks invoke spine-shaking trance without resorting to the generic tropes of PSY. Mid-tempo ritual chuggers sure to send psychedelically-inclined clubbers into chakra-raising ecstasies, while converting at least a few listeners as-yet-uninitiated in the cult of 'organic house'.

Recorded at Atelier Cafe, Cluj-Napoca, on a memorable night of November 16th, this mission also included an expedition to the Hoia-Baciu forest, where some extraterrestrial friends crashed their vehicle after leaving one of our Moonbase parties on the Moon. The crooked trees we found suggest their level of intoxication was not exactly appropriate for piloting a spacecraft...
