This episode of Mindspring Music Series features Looney Grandpas,  two guys from Croatia joined by their passion for weird, glitchy and dubby sounds, but most of all, traditional, ethnic and world music. With nearly 2 decades of production under his belt, Emir had his first vinyl released back in 2003 (for Hadshot) with his tech project Shuma, followed by numerous releases on Tribal Vision, Beef Records, Gastspeil and more. Goran, a world class percussionist is a passionate collector of exotic drums and percussion instruments. Having played with numerous live bands and live acts throughout his career gave him the signature style that his live drumming adds and brings to life an organic engagement, that special touch. This set contains all original works produced by Emir and Goran, mastered by Stephen Moon and mixed by Looney Grandpas

LOONEY GRANDPAS | Mindspring Music Series Ep. 9 | 15/02/2022

This Mindspring Music selection episode features GLEEKCH with a set taking you on an uplifting, glitchy and psychedelic journey, exploring the vibrations between 80 to 180 Bpm. The Gleekch project was born in 2014, an experiment with DAW to create deconstructed melodies and breakbeat. Gleekch's music is lost somewhere between the realms of his influences. The dub aspects are nested in between some verdant trees and a broken computer, and on top of it, some acoustic instruments to make it feel alive.

Mindspring Music Selection Series features PSY TRS. Psy Trs is a trance/psy chill Portuguese producer and DJ, a musician who like many took his first steps into music at an early age playing guitar in rock and metal bands all throughout Portugal and later in London where he also studied Sound Engineering. His passion for trance and chill out began in Lisbon in the early 2000s after multiple trips to Trance parties and festivals and getting lost with friends somewhere in the Portuguese wilderness. In 2016 after many years of playing rock live in London, Francisco decided it was time to sit down and follow his passion and create a new project connected to the Psy Trance / Psy Chill world, hence the "Golden Mornings" EP was born and shortly after that the first full album “Phoenix Rising” was released on Mindspring Records.

J.P.illusion was born in Athens, 1981. At a young age he discovered his passion for music but was not until early 2004 that he began his studies in music technology. 

Soon afterwards he delves into a journey of experimenting with the electronic medium, performing as a DJ in many local events and he has since then worked with live recording, sound design and he has also composed music for film & documentaries. 

Throughout the years, J.P. illusion has released many albums in the genres of Progressive, Psychedelic, Dub & Psychill with labels such as Yellow Sunshine Explosion, Cosmicleaf Records, Harmonia records, Nutek Records, Mikelabella Records, Maia Brasil Records - only to name a few - and his live appearances were seen all over mainland Greece, as well as many other countries in Festivals such as Shamballa Festival 2013 in Turkey & Shwayafest Festival 2017 in Israel.

Later down the line, David was joined by Máté Kocsis on drums, Mr Dure on keys, Matyi Mohácsi on bass, Julcsi Szomráky, Molek Keri and Donna Terra on vocals forming a full live band and a creative community with the aim to bring listeners regenerating frequencies through sound.
