Discovering the electronic music scene in 1994, and the world of synthesizers, Ralph founded his first project, RASTALIENS, together with his friend Jay, releasing 3 albums and countless singles & VAs on major labels worldwide. In 2003 Ralph started his own projects as well, one of them known as BRAINCELL, with 7 albums and about 60 releases on compilations and EPs so far. The latest double album came out on Nano Records called GAIA, representing 2 of his projects together. He's also creating under several other alter egos: SOLAR SPECTRUM, UNKNOWN REALITY, MELTING POINT, UNDERCOVER BABAS, DRIFTSETTERS which show the enormous potential of his creativity. This is a selection of Braincell's latest releases + a couple older gems!

BraininSpace is a psytrance project founded in 2018 by by two friends, Jorge Santos and Sandro Viegas. They've known each other since high school and when they discovered psytrance, they were so fascinated by its surroundings and the feeling it provides that one day they tried to make a joke and an attempt. The result was not too good, but their production addiction hasn't changed since that day. Today, their music is inspired by the combination of analogue, digital and sci-fi sounds in a fun and exciting way! This set contains their new EP "Psystation" which will be out in early 2022!

This Nano edition presents a fresh selection of slamming sounds weaved together by Anestetic. A long-time friend, supporter of NANO and label DJ since 2018, Anestetic has been DJing for two decades. His first steps on stage happened in 2000 playing at iconic Lisbon venues before spreading his net and performing to a wider community. Musically he was a big supporter of darker twilight sounds working with labels like Timecode Records for a long time, and he has released two compilations and is currently working on a third. Having spent a good part of his story behind the scenes too, João is deeply involved in the Portuguese Psy scene and some of the biggest events in the world, and has a real understanding of the different perspectives, from event production to artist to music lover that makes up the scene.

From a young age, DAN SCOT has had a passion for the electronic outdoor scene – specifically Psychedelic Trance. His musical journey began 14 years ago with techno on turntables and finally finding his love for psytrance all the while being nurtured into what is the Dan Scot sound today. Countless sets over the years influenced by his peers and the massive trance community, has blasted his sound into a much more rolling punch ranging from daytime through to mind-bending Nighttime Fullon Psychedelia. Welcome psychedelic  music enthusiasts, it is with great excitement that we unveil the exclusive PsynOpticz Records "Wizardry" series on Psymedia. This start to this series features a phenomenal live set recorded at MOOV Festival in Cape Town by none other than the talented South African producer, Solus.

For those who may not know, Solus is the psychedelic trance project of Hanré Kotzé, a skilled musician who grew up in a music school and tried his hand at various instruments before finding his passion for psytrance in 2012. He was inspired by attending numerous festivals and listening to the genre non-stop. In 2017, he learned how to DJ and after performing at his first outdoor music festival, he decided to broaden his horizons and produce the music he loved so much himself.

Fast forward to 2021, Solus was signed by the mighty PsynOpticz Records and has since released two EPs between 2021 and 2022. He is currently hard at work on his debut album which is set to be released later this year.

Solus is renowned for taking listeners on a high-energy journey ranging from full-on to psychedelic. His love for music and dedication to the craft is evident in every beat he produces. We invite you to join us on this magical journey through the musical landscape of Solus, one of South Africa's finest upcoming producers!
