Disco Gecko series presents Framewerk and a dj set celebrating the release of their remixes of Banco de Gaia's Obsidian on the Capital Heaven label. Framewerk (aka Darren James and Alec Milliner) have been long establishing an eclectic electronic style that defies genres yet maintains a deep distinctive atmosphere throughout all their music. With influences ranging from 70’s prog rock to 80’s electro, the duo both found a home in the UK acid house scene of the late 80’s and later joined together to form the group “Manhattan” during the mid-90’s progressive house era. These decades of dedicated development and unrelenting passion have kept Darren and Alec continuously at the forefront of the underground electronic music scene. Their work today as “Framewerk” showcases their diverse styles and innate abilities to create and share music that represents the best of the golden eras with a fresh, modern sound all their own.

This set was created for the PsynOpticz showcase by Dan Scot, a Cape Town artist recently signed to the label. From a young age, DAN SCOT has had a passion for the electronic outdoor scene – specifically Psychedelic Trance. His musical journey began 14 years ago with techno on turntables and finally finding his love for psytrance all the while being nurtured into what is the Dan Scot sound today. Countless sets over the years influenced by his peers and the massive trance community, has blasted his sound into a much more rolling punch ranging from daytime through to mind-bending Nighttime Fullon Psychedelia. Dan Scot is a phenomenal reader of the crowd and continues to deliver an international quality sound that not only begs to be reckoned with but is a guaranteed crowd pleaser every time.

This episode features VITALY BAUER. Vitaly Bauer started to collect chillout and ambient music at the end of 20th century, being inspired by Banco De Gaia, Ozric Tentacles, Etnica. Vitaly Bauer started performing as DJ in 2003 when he already had a large collection of slow music. Vitaly Bauer has performed at many Russian music festivals, BK, Trimurti, Insomnia, Trishula and many more, and played at same stage with Kliment, Kalumet in Dub, Hallucinogen in Dub. Since 2001 he organizes fests and club parties known as BK. More recently, Vitaly Bauer is paying attention to develop the chillout stage of BK events. In 2016 he became a Mystic Sound Records resident. Vitaly Bauer expresses powerful feelings through chillout music, organically combining music of all styles and genres staying tuned to psychedelic chillout vibes.

Dense is one of the most popular ambient DJs in Germany – performing chillgressive® style…Working as a DJ and musician since 1993 he’s been spinning acidizing rhythms and kicked the crowd with exhausting psychedelic trance music. Consequent grooves with kickin’ melodies shaped his sets on European dancefloors. Successful with techno and ambient releases in the mid 90’s, he’s additionally been working as a reporter and photographer for German music magazines like Frontpage, X-Mag, Loop and others. Over the years Dense used to organize several techno and trance events in Germany (D’vents).
In 2008 he refined his striking style of performing progressive ambient music. Luckily he took his ability to play the right music at the right time from the dancefloor to the chill out floor. Meanwhile Dense is one of the most popular ambient DJs in Germany – performing chillgressive® style…
