In spring we Blossom | October 2021 promo mix

An all original set for Sixth Sense Australia at My Aeon in Melbourne. Had the absolute time of my life, the set features two hours of all original music with a bunch of new melodic techno to kick things off. As it slowly increases in bpm there are some experimental bass sections to break up the 4x4 beat pattern as it heads into more bush prog / deep prog sounds. ⇸ It was an absolute honour to have been invited to play at Fusion Festival, let alone on one of their biggest stages to 5000+ eager revellers at peak time on Saturday night. Big thank you to the crew for booking us! The production and energy was absolutely incredible. Tom Baker, Jedidiah and I had flown from Canada where we played at Groove & Bass Festival 36 hours before our sets at Fusion, arriving in Germany just a few hours before our performance times. We were knackered, but riding the adrenaline high - we nailed it.

Better late than never - here's my recording for the October Habitat last year! This was a closing psytech (with a little dark prog at the end) set 3-5am after @lewis-music-sa. Having opened for him earlier in the year at Echo (https://soundcloud.com/deacon_za/echo-valley-of-dreams-sat-night-26-march-2022) it was nice to flip things around and it allowed me to dive into the darker side of my collection. Taking over from his high energy sound was a fun challenge. It was also one of the biggest (and best crowds) I've played to - which all resulted in probably my favourite psychedelic techno progression thus far. Hope you guys enjoy it!

Once again, a great event for the third edition of Propa Noize presents ‘Luis M’ (IbogaTech / Digital Structures), with a festival line-up thanks to the participation of the Portuguese Luís Moreira who in addition to being an outstanding producer, is also a humble and down to earth person who gave a terrific performance and whom I am personally honored to have met.
Thanks to the one and only Nikki Signor who, as always never misses a beat.

We're talking with DJ ZigMon, director and co-founder of Australian electronic music label Bassic Records, to find out more about "bush techno" and the grooves of the underground outdoor techno scene.

Bassic Records director & co-founder ZigMon breaks the boundaries of progressive, techno, house and electronica, generating encapsulating dancefloor dynamics with deepened drive, elated euphoria and a touch of psychedelia. Finding a balance between alluring melodies, driving basslines and grounding groove, ZigMon sees his purpose to deliver something unexpected and unique, compelling an unpredictable and emotional journey without the confines of style or genre.
His accomplished background in the DJ field - warming crowds for and closing after: Boris Brejcha, Victor Ruiz, Enrico Sangiuliano, Alex Stein, at festival main stages, revered clubs and warehouse venues - has co-created the skilful developments of the ZigMon voyage and the resulting adventurous performances...
A vagabond of the Australian festival circuit, ZigMon’s diverse energies have compelled dancefloors at Splendour In The Grass, Rainbow Serpent, Strawberry Fields, Earth Frequency, Dragon Dreaming, Babylon, Tanglewood, Psyfari, Esoteric, Elements, as an official resident DJ of Rabbits Eat Lettuce, Bohemian Beatfreaks and Subsonic Music Festival. Beyond his home country, ZigMon has performed on Thailand's Half Moon Festival main stage, and is set to perform at Noisily Festival UK in 2021.
As a successful and contemporary music curator, ZigMon was invited by Yuli Fershtat AKA Perfect Stranger to compile his ‘Eucalyptych’ VA on the famed Digital Structures imprint. On his own label ZigMon’s recent compilations include the ‘Bushfire Aid’ series fundraising for Australian bushfire relief, and ‘Labyrinth, Lost In Techno 02’, which climbed ten different Beatport charts, with fifteen total release and track chartings, including four Top 10.
