J'ai rencontré trois femmes qui assument pleinement leur "appartenance" au mouvement Les soulèvements de la Terre. Trois femmes qui ne sont pas les leaders, qui ne sont pas des figures politiques, mais des personnes qui font partie des 150 000 convaincu.es que la lutte pour l'eau, pour une agriculture saine, une écologie citoyenne, est indispensable à la survie de la planète, de l'humanité. Elles ont participé au convoi de l'eau, l'une d'elle fait partie de la confédération paysanne, elles connaissent les sujets urgents sur lesquels personne ne peut détourner le regard : l'Avenir !

I met three women who fully embrace their "belonging" to the movement "Les soulèvements de la Terre." Three women who are not the leaders, who are not political figures, but individuals who are part of the 150,000 convinced people that the struggle for water, for healthy agriculture, for citizen ecology, is essential for the survival of the planet, of humanity. They participated in the water convoy, one of them is part of the peasant confederation, they are aware of the urgent issues on which no one can turn away: the Future!

Le mouvement "Les soulèvements de la Terre" est un collectif environnemental faisant partie de la société civile en France. Il rassemble des militants pour le climat, des agriculteurs, des syndicalistes et des anticapitalistes autonomes. Le mouvement est connu pour ses actions et ses initiatives visant à défendre la terre, l'eau et l'environnement. Il a participé à diverses manifestations et campagnes pour sensibiliser aux problèmes environnementaux et promouvoir des pratiques durables. Le mouvement se caractérise par son caractère de base et son engagement à remettre en question le système socio-économique actuel afin de protéger la Terre.

The movement "Les soulèvements de la Terre" is an environmental collective and part of the civil society in France. It brings together climate activists, farmers, trade unionists, and autonomous anti-capitalists. In today’s episode we talk with activist Sinan from the organization Climaximo about organizing during and against accelerating climate change. We start the conversation by describing some of the principle that our political work is based upon, in particular that the real risk of climate collapse is underrepresented and that the capitalist class will always resist any meaningful structural change. Then we talk about Climaximo, their mode of organizing and plans for the future. Sinan explains to us how they operate under the assumption of a state of climate emergency and their effort to frame climate change as a war waged by the capitalist class against the rest of the world. We finish with some book recommendations and a call to get organized.
