"While I was in Prodigal Sons (1986) I was asked to write the title track for a Super-8 "splatter" movie being made for the Sydney Super-8 Film Festival. I was simply told the title ("Human Hamburger Madness") and that the film was essentially about cannibalism, drug-soaked human flesh and Mormons! 

I wrote the lyrics on the morning we filmed the song and had to read them from cue cards in the movie. The song became a big crowd favourite at Prodigal Sons gigs.

I wrote this song in the early 80s when I was a mod. It's an attempt to put into words the feeling you have when you're a mod and part of the mod scene ("I know what it's like, that feeling inside, that feeling that you cannot describe"). I finally recorded it in 2024. It doesn't pay to rush these things :)

I wrote this in 1984 for a band called The Movies, which I was forming with Andy Chase. The band didn't eventuate, but quite a few good songs did. Some of the lyrics seem a tad questionable now, but I was only 22 when I wrote it, and times were different back then.

Rad Venture is the alias of British songwriter, singer and multi-instrumentalist Dave Turner, a veteran of many power pop bands in the UK and Australia.

With a penchant for vintage ’60s and ’70s-inspired sounds, he has a number of recording projects in the pipeline, including an album of original Merseybeat-style songs.

Dave lives in the east of England, and still performs live sporadically.
