A piece with a fascinating history. It was originally attributed to 18-th century composer Albinoni and supposedly discovered by 20-th century biographer Rema Giazotto. Later it was revealed that Giazotto had found only a small segment of the opening melody and chord structure and it is now believed he wrote most of it himself.

When I first heard Frank Hiemenz' brilliant recording of Albeniz' "Asturias" I was inspired to create an chamber orchestra  arrangement around his solo guitar recording to give the piece more of a guitar concerto feel. The instrument is a Clavia Nord Piano 3 using a sampled extra soft Bösendorfer 130 upright piano, with effects, and a sampled Willow flute.
