A Five-Movement Work for Symphony Orchestra

Once, there was an angel whose radiance was said to outshine even the dawn. Known as Seraphel, this celestial being walked among the golden halls of Heaven, weaving songs of hope that reached mortal hearts as whispers in their dreams. But Seraphel’s compassion grew too deep—too human. They longed not just to be heard by mortals, but seen—to let mankind know that Heaven’s light was real, and that they were not forgotten.

In defiance of divine law, Seraphel descended to the mortal plane and revealed their true, resplendent form before humankind. For a fleeting moment, the world was bathed in celestial brilliance—but such a revelation was forbidden. Heaven’s veil was meant to remain intact, and Seraphel’s act was deemed a betrayal of divine secrecy.

For this transgression, Seraphel’s wings were torn away, their halo dimmed to a faint shimmer, and they were cast from Heaven to walk among those they once pitied. Now, wandering the world in mortal guise, Seraphel seeks redemption not through divine approval, but through understanding the very beings they once wished to enlighten.

Their story is one of sorrow and transcendence—of a fallen light learning what it truly means to be human: to love, to err, and to hope even when Heaven is silent.

Movement I — Taboo
