Sunset Reset (Mixtape)

“Four Fundamental States of Matter” is a debut EP for the Lithuanian producer Purple. While each piece is a different “state of matter”, Purple lets the listener to decide which one is which, individually. 

Gentle but uncertain currents of water, warm but not constant gusts of wind, solid and clearly visible objects, exotic but untouchable plasmic phenomenons happens around us everyday. But life itself is no different than those states surrounding us. It can feel liquified - unpredictable and shapeless; flowing but having no particular destination. Solid and tangible, giving us first hand experiences. Life can feel like it's disappearing and evaporating, no longer being visible. But sometimes it expands and opens up to us under unusual conditions. Life opens to us if we open ourselves to it.

In 1977 'Malinga Five' released a rare afro funk album on Barclay in France. 'Marie Thérèse' is one of the songs on this album, it's an uptempo version of the original, produced by Black Blood. We really loved this version and decided to give it a modern touch so it can pump through proper club sound systems and rock dance floors! It's a free DL, hope you enjoy :).

We begin a new serie of remix EPs in between our original 12"releases.

We invited a team of champions to remix "ILPI001 - Pigmalião" and we are proud to present to you the debut EP "ILPR001 - Pigmalião Remixed"

Starting by the head honcho from "Themes For Great Cities", monsieur Lucas Croon remixing the track Aurora, spicing the groove with some beautiful classic drum machines and trippy atmospheric layers. M.RUX's wonderful version of Zingili transports you to an unexpected, soft and intriguing territory while flirts with syncopated schizophrenic grooves. Ground's minimalistic version of Baskéda jumps into a hypnotic acidic vibe full of surprises and intense for the dance floor peak. And "nel gran finale" Rodion's cyberpunk version of Bahiafro has an imposing strong bass line attitude and futuristic layers.
