UK techno legend Mark Broom returns to Rekids Special Projects with Vol. 3 of his ‘Mutated Battle Breaks’ series.

Following the first two volumes of ‘Mutated Battle Breaks’ and two recently acclaimed albums in ‘Funfzig’ and ‘100% Juice’, UK stalwart Mark Broom returns to Rekids. Bringing the third collection of heavy hitting techno weapons for Radio Slave’s techno-focussed imprint, ‘Mutated Battle Breaks Vol. 3’ showcases eight precision-built no-nonsense tools, delivering yet another techno masterclass across the release.

Releasing on labels such as Rekids, M-Plant, and Blueprint, the wildly prolific Broom has consistently been at the forefront of the techno scene for decades with his gritty, groove-based output while, away from the dancefloor, his The Fear Ratio project with James Ruskin continues to win critical acclaim.

Reptile is the techno project led by the music producer and DJ Jaime H. Armijo. Based in Madrid for many years now, he is also one of the founders of the Symbole Community and the music director of the collective. Although he has spent most of his life dedicated to music, it was only a little over a year ago that his name began to be seen in the booths of the capital, and his techno productions started to come to light.

Reptile's style could be defined as a blend of tribal techno and classic hardgroove from the 2000s, although his sets can embrace a broader musical range, varying from the more mental sounds and textures to the more physical stuff.

For this episode of our podcast series, we share a recording of his performance during the peak-time of our latest -secret location- event on December 5th. The set goes from raw techno to impactful hardgroove, also diving into a darker and deeper facet of his.

Ces deux dernières années, il a décidé de faire un pas plus loin, en s’exportant dans les clubs, raves et festivals de la province d’Avila et de Madrid (Espagne)

Rafa a été influencé et inspiré par des artistes tel que Andrés Campo et Ben Sims, Annē et Danny Wabit

Le style de Rafa Muñoz se caractérise par une fusion unique de sons purs et mélodiques combinés à des percussions tribales et des rythmes funky, sans perdre de vue le style qui le représente le mieux : Detroit.
Ses mix crée une atmosphère enveloppante dans laquelle se mélangent basses profondes puissantes et d’un groove amusant, obtenant une énergie intense et contagieuse, qui maintient la piste de danse en mouvement constant.

En 2025, il débute également sa carrière de producteur en sortant son premier EP et son premier single. Dans les prochains mois, d’autres œuvres de l’artiste seront dévoilées, laissant place à sa façon de voir la techno.
