Va - Compilado LOCAL # 02

El objetivo de Local MX fue claro desde el comienzo: construir canales por medio de los cuales generar mayor repercusión para la nueva escena mexicana de música house y estilos aledaños. 
Paso un año desde la publicación de "Compilado LOCAL # 01", y realmente el rebote que tuvo ese disco en el público nos sorprendió. La edición en CD se nos escapó de entre las manos. Esos discos se distribuyeron de forma gratuita en eventos en distintos puntos del país con una velocidad que dio vértigo. La edición online ha tenido mas de 26000 escuchas y 6500 descargas.
Sabemos que Local MX es una partecita de un gran organismo que en poco tiempo ha demostrado buena salud, ya que varios de los artistas que formaron parte de ese primer intento hoy están completamente en otra situación, con participación crucial en sellos, clubes y festivales de distintas partes del mundo. Y eso tiene que ver con un avance claro en lo compositivo / sonoro. Con la evolución de su talento.
Estos músicos han crecido, manejan al 100% su propio lenguaje, y ahora van por más.   
Por eso, el lanzamiento de "Compilado LOCAL # 02" es algo lógico y más que justificado. Es una segunda vuelta que busca reflejar y dejar plasmado en una imagen sonora el momento que transita la escena a nivel nacional.

A leading light at the forefront of the new wave of British house music, northern star Richy Ahmed returns to his home label Hot Creations with a monumental two-track release entitled ‘So Good’.

Richy Ahmed has been riding at breaking speed since his debut EP ‘The Drums’ dropped on Hot Creations in 2013, crowned as Pete Tong’s ‘Essential New Tune’ and receiving a wealth of support worldwide. The following year he followed up with his ‘Sneaky Acid’ EP as the 50th release on Hot Creations and made his Radio 1 ‘Essential Mix’ debut. Since then he has spread his wings producing releases for the likes of Circus and Strictly Rhythm and remixes for Hotflush, Suara and Truesoul to name a few. The talented producer is now back on Hot Creations and about to drop one of his best to date.

His first release for 2016, it features two house jams both with a different style. 'So Good' is a perfect summer groover and. 'Ruff N Raw', as the name describes, is quite a tough house banger. Both have been causing serious damage!
Aside from producing, Richy is an integral member of the Hot Creations crew, acting as both A&R and being one of the main residents and curators of the line ups for Paradise at DC10. He also enjoys an extensive touring schedule playing all over the world at hotspots such as Panorama Bar and fabric. Now in 2016, there are no signs of slowing down with the launch of his 'FourThirtyTwo' branded parties that see him playing all night to small intimate crowds. Richy also plans to launch his record label later in the year under the same brand.

New German outsider house label TOY TONICS comes up with a superfat SLOW HOUSE 6 track EP from mighty producer DJ STEEF.
It's not Paris. This here comes from Marseille. A city that used to be big in Hip Hop - and now has a huge funky house scene. Many people there translated the boom of Hip Hop and Soul into fat, funky, slow house. DJ STEEF is one of the main guys. His releases on Magic Wand, Editorial, ZE, Superbreak and DiscoDat he has been played regularly by DJ's like James Murphy, Weatherall and Tim Sweeney.
