Simply an iconic release resulted from a project that brought together like-minded artists, history and lots of respect for people who created legacies many decades ago. This release tells a unique part of music history that people don’t know about yet.
After becoming friends with the ‘secret Disco Hero' Wayne Scott, the mastermind behind this project Tim Taylor, had the brilliant idea of making a record together with him, talking about parts of his DJ life and times back then telling his true story and experiences. Wayne who had a very singular career path and many interesting stories, borrowed his distinct voice bringing nice character to the project.
Wayne Scott was one of the original pioneer DJ’s from New York Disco heydays of the 70’s. He became resident of Studio 54 in 1977 and also played at the famous Flamingo, where he was recognized for mixing this type of music they called 'Sleaze' or 'Morning music'. These tracks with a more emotional style were played later in the night to give the crowd a more relaxed finale.
Sleaze then became very popular throughout the underground gay Disco clubs in New York, but Wayne had this special ability that other did not have at that time. Playing songs that nobody else played and always in a different way, he was the one who played the style better than anybody and was given the nickname 'The King Of Sleaze'.
The original track has participation of Brazilian artist Belt and brings a unique energy to the dancefloor. The rhythmic construction associated with the vocal gives impulse the sonorities that complete the music. Tessuto remix brings a new look to the vocals beyond the classic beats of Roland 909 and synths that stroll in the history of music. L_cio brings a more serious version, highlighting the work of synths and subs. MEMNTGN_007: “the history to clubs and parties”.

Strange things happen in strange settings under strange circumstances… or so we thought. This is a tale of trivial things happening to common people in ordinary circumstances, but to exceptional results, both for the music and the somewhat bizarre narrative it conveys. After all, everyone involved has a penchant for surrealism: Tessuto with his manifold militant personas and Mutado Pintado and his storytelling comic character. 

MFK is the type of Gesamtkunstwerk that allows for this poliphony, one that  encapsulates all the atmosphere in a salacious musical base and allows for rich reinterpretations, either it is us deciphering its lyrical content or a stalwart such as Virginia rewiring its rhythmic potence. 
Let's say you can consider this something for your mind, your body, your soul and your mom's.

Bloody Mary pairs up with Cardopusher to deliver ‘Conformity Kills’ on Dame-Music to open 2020, accompanied by a remix from Sarin.  

With the 10th anniversary of her Dame-Music imprint looming, Bloody Mary arrives into a new decade in fine form armed with a brand-new live set, releases and remixes via the likes of Missile Records, Phuture’s iconic ‘Acid Track’ on Afro Acid and her own Dame-Music, plus appearances at Tresor (Berlin), Shelter (Amsterdam) and festivals and events such as Picnik Electronik and ADE to name just a few within the biggest year of her career to date. Kicking off the New Year with a bang, late February sees the imprint label head team up alongside Barcelona-based artist Cardopusher, known for his releases on the likes of Dark Entries, Zone, Super Rhythm Trax and Boysnoize Records, to deliver an EP full of hard-hitting, acidic EBM weapons – backed by a remix from ‘man of the moment’ Sarin who arrives fresh off the back of his album on Phase Fatale’s ‘Bite’ in late 2019.

The A-side sees the pair serve up the EP’s title track ‘Conformity Kills’ – a high energy production offering a warping and twisted original alongside a broken-beat alternative mix. On the flip, the pair are joined for additional vocals by Lbeeze on the warping ‘Out Of Control’, before Sarin closes proceedings in style with his own heavy interpretation. 

Bloody Mary & Cardopusher ‘Conformity Kills’ EP is out on Dame-Music on 28th February 2020.
