as usual. is a Berlin-based imprint for electronic music, which basically began as a weekly event series in 2013. Four years later, the music label as usual.music was launched and concentrates on releasing a deeply groovin' cutting-edge sound in various facets, delivered by some fabulous artists of the labels surrounding, as well as several other renowned acts with a contemporary sense for underground and club music.

as usual.music is focused on Techhouse and Minimal, with influences of multiform ranges in Techno and House music, such as Deeptech/Deephouse. Deeply groovin' cutting-edge sounds and crispy tight rhythms are basic to what makes it shakin' or bangin' – consequently, the demanding nature of our music is fundamentally made for having maximum aesthetics to please the dancefloors. With no fear to break the rules at some point. It's represented by some of the most interesting artists in the underground music and club scene. We love to connect diverse aspects of creativity to having an intense excitement in projects and concepts. The result is a highly inspiring and perceptive state of quality dance music. Taking the challenge of the ongoing evolution in contemporary music industries and feeling the impulses of tomorrow are implanted genes of our beings.

"When I picked records and songs for this mix I wanted to include a lot of tracks that are timeless and not trendy. Important tracks are in my arsenal of music. I don’t own CDJs so I did the mix on my 1200s. These songs kind of reflect the epitome of the sound in an underground party, from any era. I ended the mix with an old Get F*cked track, because I love that record, and it's perfect for closing out a party or a mix. Nathan Coles and I have been homies for over 20 years. I recorded the mix a few weeks before passed and it makes the mix mean something more to me than just doing a cool DJ mix. Raffi is the resident DJ and co-founder of Loop, a collective best known for their Soundwaves boat parties in Washington, DC. 

At the age of 12, Raffi’s aunt gifted him with turntables and a mixer. Growing up in an Armenian household in Baltimore with a constant appetite for dancing and music, he always had an audience to play for. His first club gig was at the age of 19, and since then, he’s played at prominent venues and parties in DC, such as Flash, Eighteenth Street Lounge, Deep Secrets, Sundays Rooftop, and U Street Music Hall. Raffi believes that it’s not about the destination, but the journey along the way, and that’s reflected in his mood-building and vibe-setting DJ sets.
