Ouroboros

Before my opening gig with Dave Seaman back in 2017, I whipped up this cheeky bootleg mashup/edit of one of the best tracks of all time (Peace Division's Remix of Trancesetters - Roaches released on Hooj Choons way back in 2000) and one of Maceo Plex's deep, dark, chugging club tracks. 

Besides chopping and warping the vocal, I also added extra percussion and vocal effects throughout.

I think it turned out quite well, it feels like it sounds natural within Maceo's track. What do you think?

Dark Disco 2

Hello! Thanks for tuning in. Finally got around to uploading my set from our recent Dark Disco event. It was an amazing evening, great turnout, and everyone packed the dancefloor the entire evening! If you were there, a big thank you for coming out and supporting our nights!

Dark Disco 4

I recently had the pleasure and honour of playing the first Abstract Audio event, which is a "collaboration between em.ash, JeniMack, DE Radio/Marc Gerrad, Gemini Rentals/Sleepy, Movement With Music, and Renegade Sound Collective"

Myself and one of my dearest friends Two filters and a dream, took to the decks for ~90ish minutes and had an absolute blast. Definitely one of the best shows in memory, and I'm happy to say it was perfectly recorded by the crew there. 

It was probably as perfect of a night as you could have asked for. A sold out show, a crowd that packed the dancefloor early, and a space that was decorated with taste and a sound system that pounded loud and clear. Keep your eyes peeled for more events from this crew in the future!

This happened near my home town of the Courtenay BC, in Cumberland.

Classic Mix 01

June 28th at the Downbeat was a very memorable night, with an amazing crowd. Everyone played great music, and myself and Two Filters had an absolute blast. We played twice that evening, 10 - 11 PM to warm things up for Freya, as she was warming things up for Cataphonic, and we played again from 1 - 2 AM where we really turned up the heat!

SUBCULTURE presents: RAFH & Two Filters and a Dream (Live)

July 5th for Summer Nights @ The Mex was a very fun evening. JoJo Dancer warmed up the room for Freya , who took over at 10 PM , by which time the dancefloor was getting pretty packed! RAFH and Two Filters then took over around 11 PM and continued to take everyone on a journey through house, indie dance, techno, disco, and back again! The crowd was absolutely amazing! Big Thanks to those who tuned into the live twitch stream, and of course, a big thank you to Adil and the rest of the 'about the music' crew for throwing such a fun filled event!

SUMMER NIGHTS Presents : RAFH & Two Filters And a Dream (Live)

Finally got around to polishing up some stems from a live jam I did in the studio about 4-ish years ago. I had somehow deleted the Ableton Live project and the original recordings, however, luckily I had sent the stems to a friend for potential remix fodder. Luckily he still had the stems, so after getting those back (backup your recordings folks!) I was able to polish things a little and render it out. I just sat down one evening and turned on the 303, and started from there. 

Simplicity was the name of the game. Not super happy with it, as the kick is still somewhat loud for my tastes, but hopefully you can enjoy the vibes! 

I only had two hands, so attempting to control 4 synths + Push 2 was a bit of a faff, and as such, you may notice some oddities ( clips launching at weird intervals) ... but whatever, it was all done live in one take, so go easy on me ;) 

 Old school vibes because I’ve been in the game since '98. Hopefully the 12min length won’t scare folks away. Stick around for the pad because its epic!
