First Shot delivers a high dose of dark bass-lines, lofty atmospheres, and textures characteristic of young visionary artist BlackTextured. The idea for the EP came from a typical malevolent character stealing the listener away into the dark and chasing to the end of the line..."Nowhere to run…" The two tracks include solid bass-lines, dark saw hoovers, and minimal drums.

BlackTextured, a.k.a. Mehrshad is a 26 year-old Iranian DJ and producer. With diverse sounds and melodies that catch the ears of listeners, BlackTextured is quickly making his way up in the scene. In 2019 he signed with Thunderstruck Records and entered the Top 100 minimal charts on Beatport with his first EP. Since then he has released on Jokr Black, STRND, Arey, AMPED, Voices, Dark Groove, Neu Gravity, and more.

This latest EP with LA-Based label Shadow Wulf features remixes from returning artists APHE (Germany) and Peku (United Kingdom), and new artist to the label, Agustin De Rose (Argentina).
