Swandering - a Daytime Thing at Burning Man 2022

It is this magical moment of anticipation. It is Monday evening and Burn Week lays ahead of us full with wonder and beauty yet to discover. I am sending this spiritual camp onto their first night journey at Burning Man, a wonderful storm ahead for all of us!

Amidst a wild dust storm at Burning Man on Friday night, we took refuge in an oasis of hospitality, elegance, and luxury;  the grand hotel known as Ashram Galactica for an evening of tasty drinks and sultry celebration. I played music from my entire library having no set list prepared and choosing from both new and old tracks. This is the magic that unfolded. I hope you enjoy the journey and if you were not present, I hope you wonder into this mystical ashram at some time in the future.

Nārada is a Brooklyn based DJ and producer, and California native. He has brought his sounds and vibrant sets across the globe over the years. His fuse of downtempo, organic, Afro and deep house music brings each listener on a journey that is both spellbound and addictive, Turning heads with his unmistakably compelling sound! Nārada has a powerful way of creating an energy in each of his sets that connects people and allows them to personally unleash. He believes all music has a spirit and energy , “it is up to us as the sound alchemists to mindfully lead our listeners on the journey that will move them to the core, an experience they will never forget”. 

Nārada developed his passion and love for music from a very young age. Learning many instruments, and playing whatever he could get his hands on. He performed solo, in bands , ensembles, and explored the many aspects of sound and vibration with meditation. Over the years, this passion eventually led him attend Millikin University for music.  After school, in 2005, Nārada moved to NYC to begin life. He became immersed with NYC nightlife, music, and art, and decided to turn it into a career. With His love for travel and adventure, he found a real passion for world music and deep house music, the magical Sounds and energies from different places near and far, And the deep heartbeat that resides in it. Nārada inspires people to really feel, think, and move, through sound and vibration, and wants share his love and passion for music with the world.

Over the last few years I’ve found a lot of solace in the 333 sessions, so It’s a been a dream come true to be able to contribute to its legacy.

With this in mind, I wanted to explore the concept of dreams as a theme in this mix. The waking dream of the collective we unknowingly bring to reality. The dreams as individuals we hope and strive for and the lucid waking dream we experience daily.

I looked for music in my collection that could help me create a narrative around the illusive and mystical nature of our unconscious lives and deepest imaginations.

Stylistically, this mix is quite emotional and not without it’s dark corners. It traverses a few genres along the way and I’ve tried to underpin it with a deep and constant groove to see it through.

I hope you enjoy my little odyssey as much as I’ve enjoyed creating it.
