Perihon is a fast-raising Mauritius based Nigerian afrobeat artist that is making a difference in the entertainment industry. He interpreted the song in such a way that it appealed to the feminine sensibility through afro beats in this rendition. This remix adds to the original mix by conveying a distinct mood. Perihon brings the beats to the forefront and delicately alters them.

Bìckā and Rafiki had a blast finding their unique universes at a stage coaching class in 2018. This encounter results in friendship as well as a synergy that lends itself to musical cooperation. They haven't stopped since; one had us dance to "Mari fer Goutchei," while the other released his first album "Baboon" to the globe. They encourage us to experience the fruit of their reunion today, having each earned a name for themselves on the area’s music scene.

"Honey Spliff Lady" is a tribute to these courageous ladies that steal hearts with their confidence and grace. This tune, produced by Lucky Monkey, skilfully blends R&B and Dancehall, bringing a burst of  reshness weaved by a sturdy riddim particular to the artists of the town of La Gaulette. 

"Honey Spliff Lady" took on captivating shapes in the Melody Music Studio, under the seasoned leadership of Raj Ramdaursingh, a Mauritian sound engineer schooled in Switzerland. We also have Zanana Records' addition to this track, which promises to make more than one dance.

Following the release, Rafiki and Bìckā have requested Perihon, Mattete and Soul Faya for their interpretation of Honey Spliff Lady.

Rafiki x Mattete - Seggae 2020

Au cours d'un atelier de coaching scénique en 2018, Bicka et Rafiki se sont plu à découvrir leur univers respectif. De cette rencontre naît une amitié mais aussi une synergie qui se prête à une collaboration musicale. Ils n'ont pas chômé depuis; l'un nous a fait vibrer au rythme de "Mari fer Goutchei" et l'autre a dévoilé au monde son tout premier album "Baboon". S'étant chacun fait une place sur la scène musicale régionale, ils nous proposent aujourd'hui de découvrir le fruit de leurs retrouvailles. 

"Honey Spliff Lady" est une ode à ces femmes qui n'ont pas froid aux yeux et dont l'assurance et l'élégance saisissent les cœurs. Mêlant habilement R&B et Dancehall, ce morceau produit par Lucky Monkey apporte un élan de fraîcheur, tissé par un solide riddim propre aux musiciens du village de La Gaulette. C'est dans les locaux de Melody Music Studio, sous la direction aguerrie de Raj Ramdaursingh, ingénieur-son mauricien formé en Suisse, que "Honey Spliff Lady" a pris des formes envoûtantes. L'on retrouve également la contribution d'Avneesh Bacha de Babani Records pour ce track qui promet d'en faire danser plus d'une.
