Welcome to the second episode of Hakk i Plata

This episode is focusing on a genre that was, in its early days, an avant garde sound, but also came as a further development from all the minimal techno, glitch and house that flourished in Berlin and other cities containing well-known electronica environments, in the late 90's. This genre got the name, Micro house, which has short samples of many different instruments and vocals as its main characteristics, as well as smooth and simple loops that can go on and on; actually some micro house tracks last for 15-20 minutes with not much happening. 
It's hard to not come around the one and only Jan Jelinek, when one should talk about pioneers within this genre. And I'm proud to admit that he is taking a larger amount of tracks in this mix, which felt natural for me when the sound he created really defined what micro house was and still is (in my opinion).

I hope you will enjoy this mix and sit down to fall into the memory lane of historical electronica music. This is really a distinct and beautiful sound that should fit perfectly with the late autumn and coming winter.

The mix flows between smooth, atmospheric soundscapes and deeper rhythms, creating a unique music experience, that we are proud to share with you.

‘This mixtape is inspired by the reflection of what place do we hold in the universe, capturing the sense of self and purpose while feeling adrift, a state of curiosity as well as surrender. Being "lost in orbit" also suggests a peaceful surrender to the unknown, floating freely without the need of staying still, embracing the beauty of not having all the answers.’

In einer Welt in der misogyne, machtgeile, alte, weiße cis Männer Hass schüren, Kriege führen, spalten und gegeneinander aufhetzen und Femizide an der Tagesordnung sind, ist Liebe ein Akt der Rebellion. 

Manchmal fällt es mir schwer mutig genug zu sein in dieser brutalen Welt mein Herz offen zu lassen, aber wir brauchen Liebe, Geborgenheit und Wärme gerade vielleicht mehr als je zuvor. 
Also lasst uns zusammenrücken, laut und groß lieben und uns öfter sagen, wie lieb wir uns haben. 

Ich wünsche mir, dass wir in einer Welt leben, in der jeder Mensch lieben kann, wen er/sie/ they fucking nochmal lieben möchte. 

Und denkt immer daran: Hass ist krass, aber Liebe ist krasser.
