Original sleeve designed for Beating Drum by Olivier Carrie using Colorplan White Frost paper. The packaging and design was inspired by a Factory Records release in the early 80's. The whole package will be sent out in customized Kraft envelope with an original Beating Drum printed seal. The EP also comes with an original short story written by Jenny Lysander.

One of my favourite Ghibli scenes is from Spirited Away when Chihiro and the kaonashi rides the train on the flooded rail road tracks to Zeniba surrounded by people half faded, and then the following one where a lamp post comes to meet them by the station... The arrangements Piers made for this song really makes me think of it.

Haelsa Heathens.......This is a copy of the whole RunaFolk album demo so far. It is an ongoing work in progress that is still subject to change and incomplete with 20 mins or so of unfinished material missing, vocal parts missing and some of the female vocals sung by me on the guide tracks used here.

:Alu - Ula: This is the first rough mastered demo version of the the INTRO song that will start this whole album off.
I am hoping that the rest of the recordings will achieve this quality when complete  which I feel is better and enriched by the fact that now all the drums are real and all midi beats have been recorded over making a vast difference!

Rafnborg is a Norwegian music project founded in Bergen, Norway by Enok Alfsson Groven. Rafnborg creates spiritual music inspired by the Vikings and their rich culture and mythology.

Enok Alfsson Groven: writes all music and lyrics, sings and plays most of the instruments.

Jørn Lavoll: drums, synth.

Maria Aker Jacobsen: vocals.

Lars Magnar Enoksen: galdr, vocals.

Our first album will be called "Vegen til Valhall" and will be released in 2018. The music is improvised and has no lyrics. It tells the story of a quest for vengeance, where two brothers leave Norway for England to revenge their father. In the ensuing battle one of the two earl's sons dies. A Valkyrie comes to follow him to the other side, and his brother returns home to celebrate his slain brother.

We will release small excerpts from the upcoming album, so stay tuned!
