Dj RaggaRae live from Day 1 at Imagine Seaside Carnival, September 17th 2022.

This Mixtape is two live sets mixed together and features selections of Reggae, Dancehall, Dub, Afrobeats & Afro. Dj RaggaRae's role was to keep the vibes high between the artists sets, to begin to warm up the crowd, to infectious rhythms to keep the dancefloor pumping. 

Imagine Seaside Carnival was held at a stunning outdoor location on Larrakia Land, beside the Arafura Sea, for a two-day community festival for the whole family.

Featuring an array of local and interstate performers, market stalls, food and drinks and, of course, the best sunsets in the world.

This new and exciting family-friendly community festival draws on the strength of community across generations, fostering collaboration, harmony, cultural and creative development invigorating creative expression in a celebration of place.

This mix was recorded live at Campo Das Acácias in Maputo, Mozambique—an outdoor garden venue packed with 300 people, fairy lights in the trees, and serious sound all around. I had just come from Johannesburg after three wild weeks playing house parties and attending the legendary PIANOHUB in Soweto (yes… Kabza De Small, DJ Maphorisa, Musa Keys, the works!).

After political unrest, border closures, beachside lockdowns, and last-minute road trips through national parks filled with zebras and elephants (yes, really)... I found myself behind the decks in one of the most magical settings of my life.

I had zero music prepared. Just vibes, gratitude, and everything I'd absorbed from the heart of Southern Africa's scene.

This wasn’t a dancefloor rave—this was about the music, the energy, and the journey.

It ended with a standing ovation, and a surprise booking from Mozambique’s top promoter for a private rooftop party under the presidential palace. But this set?
This was the one that changed everything.
