The formation of R&R may seem unusual, but that's where two musical backgrounds merge: DJ × Producer. These two had gone through several strong formative years surrounded by music, before they discovered their shared passion for deep tech & minimal.

Ragnar (Sven) started producing at an early age and has been discovering multiple genres to work with like Progressive, Psychedelic and Electro. His musical career started as a drummer in a band and has led several Electronic Synth Pop and Funk bands as a lead singer and composer, always inspired by 70' groovy funk. Raus (Mathias) is no stranger to the electronic scene, considering he has been an event organizer, promoter and DJ (under various aliases) in the techno scene since 2008.  He played at ADE, In-Retraite Festival and Club Smederij to name a few. However, even though they have been friends for more than a decade, they never thought about joining musical forces.

Their friendship started when they were still in their early 20s, spending the weekends at the iconic clubs like Trouw and the legendary Doornroosje. It was clear that they both shared a love for rhythm, funk and electronic music. But it took them 15 years, after a few intense days of listening to Ben Rau, Toman and Rossi, to discover the connection in 2021: Deep, tech en minimal is the sound they want to pursue. And a few studio sessions later, they discovered their powerful synergy when working together and their true united passion for deep tech was revealed. It always has been there, right under their noses, but this truly marks the starting point of a new era: Ragnar & Raus as producing and DJ act. 

In 6 months time,  they created a fresh 3 track EP ('Dancefloor') that will be released on Go On Records (Sept 2022), and 1 single release on Tech Avenue Records (TBA). They keep working on new releases and are always looking for new DJ gigs and suitable labels to release more music to smash the charts & festivals.
