The eclectic influences behind Raise the Roof typify the band’s all-embracing approach to genres. Funk, soul, reggae, ska, hip hop, afrobeat and drum and bass all combine in the intoxicating original sound that makes Full Tilt Collective a mainstay at venues and festivals across the UK’s alternative scene.

“We love listening to all different kinds of music, so we try to reflect that in what we play. Our one criteria for what makes the cut is - will this get a dancefloor moving”

Whilst they loved taking time to hit up the studio, playing live will always be Full Tilt Collective’s first love, with the band regularly gigging across the UK at venues including Rich Mix, Boxxed Birmingham and The Vaults as well as festivals such as Isle of Wight and Moovin. Their unruly performances often see the band blurring the barrier between musician and spectator, wading out into the crowd to play amongst the audience in a nod to the second line marching bands of New Orleans.

One year ago, Parisian producer Stabfinger released his first EP via Roast Beatz label Cuttin' It Fine. Since then, the pair have been attempting a collaboration in-between their busy schedules. 

The two producers have admired each other’s skillset, back catalogue and similar taste for Disco and House from afar making the final collaboration an easy process. Following many emails and track versions over the last few months of 2022, their new musical masterpiece is complete and ready to erupt onto dance floors. 

Already tried and tested in a variety of venues, this track should come with a health warning. Drawing on inspiration from Hip Hop and House, Roast Beatz and Stabfinger are proud to present the first of many collaborations … "Deep Donor".

Extra Medium & MARIA have put together a high energy Jazz meets Drum & Bass track that puts the listener firmly into the Jazz club.
 
Extra Medium is a Bristol born producer that has been taking on the influences of the city’s underground music scene and fusing it with Jazz music.  His love for Jazz and obscure sampling has led him to fuse the rolling sounds of drum and bass and the big shuffling energy of UK Garage, creating a unique and big take on bass driven dance music.
 
MARIA is best known as the front lady from the Dutty Moonshine Big Band and the "Jazz In You" shows off her full range.  With choral high notes and few mean sixteens, MARIA shows off how important the jazz in you is. The "Jazz In You" is one to keep your "Jazz hands waggling" whilst pulling a mean bass face.

Full Tilt Collective's new single features 2 tracks from the forthcoming EP Raise the Roof.  The lead track Insane Again blends a hip hop drum beat with nods to the big band era, including muted trumpets and call and response vocals that guarantee a crowd singalong when performed live. Two years of solitude leave their mark in a song that talks of a slipping grip on reality, becoming more frantic and impassioned as it builds to its heady climax.

B-side O.T.T (One Tonne Tone) launches with a blast of unapologetic instrumental funk; a crunchy riff juxtaposed against a ghostly trombone line. The song’s outro kicks into a new gear as overdriven guitar battles with a scorching sax solo which demonstrates the musicianship that complements the bands raucous energy.

Over lockdown, C@ decided it was time he started learning to properly play piano, regularly tuning into his favourite pianist Arthur Migliazza.  While brushing up on his piano playing techniques one day he reached out, the pair got talking, and a new co-lab soon came about.  

Arthur Migliazza is an award-winning blues and boogie-woogie pianist who began wowing audiences at the age of 13. Arthur is known around the world for his stylistic authenticity and virtuoso technique, as well as being one of the most prominent teachers of the boogie-woogie piano style.
