Tiga and Hudson Mohawke further their mission to Legalize Compassion with this outstanding set of remixes of their Love Minus Zero collaboration.

With a self-reported emotional IQ of 196 and the dancefloor pedigree of a pure-bred champion clubhound, Tiga and Hudson Mohawke’s Love Minus Zero project offers nothing less than total catharsis in torn dungarees. Their debut album L’Ecstasy delivered on the duo’s promise of “hardcore romance,” even in the eyes of the most hardened hardcore romance purists. And now, LMZ:RMX showcases a dazzling array of styles and sensibilities that will give listeners a musical education tantamount to eight months of crate-digging with The Beat Burglars, or watching that Netflix documentary series where Lin-Manuel Miranda travels to Ibiza to learn more about rock history.

Tracklist:

- A test audience confirmed that the remix by Berlin's Quelza of “IN ORDER 2” takes the original “into Berghain territory,” which is an area which includes both the club proper and the fenced-off pen where rejects console one another in the pitiless German moonlight. 

- Many would say Keinemusik is the hottest crew in dance music today, and frankly who has the energy to argue otherwise? To this end, we platonically tapped Reznik to turn “Silence of Love” into the No. 1 Autumn Anthem of 2024, and he did not disappoint. 

- Keepsakes titled his serotonin syndrome-inducing version of “BUYBUYSELL” the “Cynical Vox” mix, but make no mistake: this British-New Zealand DJ-producer/Haven founder has a heart of gold, which shone through in each one of his tender email exchanges with us.

- Storied Techno Texan Audion is in peak form on his remix of “Duro,” which means “hard” in Spanish AND Portuguese. Audiophiles should note that the track was mastered at the vineyard he and Tiga co-own with Bryan Adams.

- On their mix of “IN ORDER 2,” Merry Men of Montreal Priori and Patrick Holland team up as Jump Source and make sweet music deep into the evening time, doing only as Eros commands.

- Hamburg Electro Genius DJ Mell G strips all romance from her mix of “BUYBUYSELL,” favouring a vision of future in which websites are illegal and people “jack in” to landlines to download the latest feelings.

- Finally, the ADJD mix of “Duro” sees Swedish techno legends Alexi Delano and Jesper Dahlback return at last to Turbo’s frigid embrace. You’ve read all about them at the library, now experience their majesty over headphones on the computer at the library.

"We came all the way from heaven to dole out euphoria like it was candy from our pocket,” says a visibly erect Tiga. "Put it this way: when a frown sees us coming down the street, it’s fucking over. We watched these remixers become our Deputy Music Angels before our very eyes, and I can only hope they think that sounds as cool as I know it feels to see."

Shaped over a four-month journey spanning New York, Paris, and Tuscany, Antella is a collaboration between Gatch (New York) and LAWE (@LAWEFR)(Paris). Mixed, mastered, and completed in Antella, Tuscany, at 121 Decibel’s studio with producer and engineer Tommy Bianchi, the track contrasts piercing synths and a thick bassline with acoustic piano, Mediterranean guitar, and percussions that evoke soft guitar strums, all wrapped in enchanting, dreamy vocals.
