Copenhagen’s‘ Nandu makes his Kindisch debut with a groovy 3 track collection titled: ‘Trails EP’. Nandu is known for his underground melodic techno and house music, here is no exception with the title track setting the scene for what is to come. Deep, almost chilled percussion laid out over a refreshingly ambient and ‘bluesy’ soundscape building bouncy vibes and creating an itchy dancefloor along the way. Moving along, Nandu carries over his organic percussion and adds a bit of meat, creating a heavier and darker track called ‘Deux’. With the final track, Nandu pushes boundaries with his rather experimental percussion on ‘Mixture’. But alas, the track is balanced out yet again with organic elements throughout, creating a lively atmosphere ad rounding off the EP beautifully.

After delivering a three-tracked label start with two remixes and the original track by DkA & Jon Mosto, a clubby track wit sensual French vocals from Elena, it´s now Nandu´s turn with two original tracks, both of them again driven by juicy vocals. 

“The Lights”, the EP´s title track is a profound and complex story, never forcing itself upon the listener but gently picking him up in real sophisticated (production) manner. The second original track, “The Blckout”, is based upon a more repetitive structure. A deep male vocal, intertwining with a mystical synth-line and driving percussions gives this track its compelling energy. 

The B-Side of the release consists of two remixes by MYNY and Echonomist. The latter takes a touch on “The Lights”, giving it an even more clubby structure and placing the vocal in the magically-soundscaped break of the track. It then merges back into the driving synth & percussion groove - a real emotional, yet never even slightly cheesy banger! The second remix comes from German MYNY and perfectly rounds off the release with a deep and laid-back synth, surrounded by versatile and percussion layers and a beautifully-warm atmosphere. 

With releases of such deep understanding and understatement, one should be more than excited for what Scatcity has lined up next!

Exclusive Nandu 'Blckout (MYNY Remix)'

Berlin based label Scatycity is readying its second EP, The Lights, that comes from Nandu. The Danish producer provides two originals for the EP that get the remix treatment from Echonomist and MYNY. Latter created a rather smooth and deep version with synth-sounds that are subbed with percussive layers to take you on a laid-back journey and make this 'blckout' the most seen one.

Nandu's EP 'The Lights' will be out on October 15th, 2017 on Scatcity.

After choosing a path in one of life’s many crossroads, you often end up doubting if your choice was the right one. Tales From My Living Room is a result of such doubt. Created in the biggest transition of my life in an attempt to somehow deal with some of my biggest fears and most overwhelming challenges, and to help me accept some of the issues that I have had a hard time accepting. The result is a complete work consisting of 9 tracks, all very dependent on each other in order to make sense as a whole. 

The process of creating this album also helped me realise that sometimes life is as simple as you make it. That’s why I decided to launch my new imprint Calypso Chili. This will be a platform from which I can share the music that really matters to me, but maybe doesn’t fit well into other labels visions or taste. Primarily focusing on Soundcloud and Bandcamp it will be a place where I’m in charge, and no distributors or other partners are slowing the process.

Premiere Nandu 'Sudden Insanity'

Danish producer Nandu, who has released on labels such as Rebirth, AZZUR or Circle Music, delivers his second LP, 'Tales From My Living Room' and at the same time launches his own label 'Calypso Chili'. The nine tracker depicts Nandu's 'attempt to somehow deal with some of his biggest fears and most overwhelming challenges' as it was produced during a period of time in his life that affected the artist at several emotional levels. Nevertheless, Rasmus, how close friends call Nandu, managed to emerge stronger from this crisis and releases an album that reflects these times. 'Sudden Insanity', the fifth track of the album, smuggles its way into the psyche of a listener with paranormal soundscapes as diverse as possibilities to connect synapses but hailing for the detachment of the latter to create musical insanity. 

Nandu's 'Tales From the Living Room' was released December 4th, 2017 on Calypso Chili.
