Purple Hexagon Series continues into the sounds of the METRIX with a special radiOzora selection and some highlights from the man behind the project for The Ozorian Prophet. Best served audioillustrated!

Since 2014 Metrix (Kilian Aregger) has been exploring the infinite universe of psychedelic sounds and merged the most powerful ones into his unique tracks. Knowing that there are many more psy-sounds to discover, he keeps experimenting in his mad-lab with a lot of pleasure and passion. As a contrast to his naturally balanced and calm mood, Metrix brings a lot of energy and power as well as kinky smiles onto the dance floor.
The Metrix Style comes from heavy basslines, rasping leads, playful rhythms, gloomy and dark pads, obscure voices of creatures and fast hacking frequencies your brain can hardly catch.
In this episode Metrix, the youngest member of Purple Hexagon Records, is proud to present his first EP: Hyper Giant. Four powerful, driving and mind-blowing tracks, which are bound to shake worldwide dancefloors. This EP represents his recently gained music production techniques, combined with a variety of weird sounds and sawing leads, which he discovered in the last year. Join in this journey through time and space and explore Metrix' world of madness.

Jungle Calling is a compilation made by Djs Govinda & Mikel and inspired by the wild jungle gathering we have been putting up in Goa since few years now. After more then 10 years of experience taking active part in festivals like Boom, Ozora, Sonica, Modem, Blackmoon and others we finally decided to open a record label and release music from our favourite artists selecting tracks from the most known ones like Ajja, Drip Drop, Gaspard and Dsompa. but also some emergent ones like Brain jam, Overload and Dimmitrion to give voice to great new artists that haven't been discovered by the audience yet. The type of sounds that we have been selecting is a mixture of organic feelings, groovy baselines and crunchy leads aiming to take you into a powerful hypnotic experience. The dance floor has been our biggest passion for many years, that's why our hope is that these tunes will bring you into a new dimension like it did to us in the last parties... Coguie aka Joana Gregório is a bubbly Dj oozing forest spirit from Portugal.
She is best known for blasting forest and twilight Psytrance onto the dancefloors. Her Dj Journey began in 2012, when she started spreading her energy and musical essence at parties across Portugal. In 2015 she was invited to join the established label Purple Hexagon Records.
Coguie sets are unique psychedelic and dynamic journeys, loaded with powerful rhythms and deep atmospheric sounds.

Purple Hexagon Records starts 2019 with a banging new episode of the series focused on Swiss producer, METRIX.

Metrix – a purveyor of powerful and heavy psychedelic experiences – kicks you out of your everyday life and shoots you directly into an unprecedented universe of dark matter and sizzling energy. Basslines as growling as at archaic times when planets were crashing, leads as heavy as the riffs of a metal guitarist and atmospheres as deep as a monk’s meditative state, promise to turn the dancefloor into a playground of psychedelic madness. The mind behind Metrix is Kilian Aregger, grown up in a musical family at the bottom of the Swiss Alps. Influenced by his father’s affinity to music and computers, together with Kilian’s own big interest in electronic music, he ended up in front of keyboards, turntables and synthesizers at an early age. After his first attendance at a bigger psytrance festival in Switzerland, his fate was sealed – he wanted to become an electronic music composer. The project Metrix was born. Always aiming for that unique and powerful sound, he defies people to dance with him through his live sets. Kilian has been a very active member of the psychedelic community since 2014 and is therefore no stranger to the dancefloors around the globe. Though he loves playing in nightclubs and festivals, his love for music goes beyond the spectrum of producing tunes. As a pianist and mastering engineer, he has found plenty of ways to express himself musically. He is also very dedicated to helping newcomers to become better producers. “For me, it’s all about the evolvement of a powerful sound that galvanizes people and expands their consciousness. Music allows me to express what I cannot describe with words.

We are excited to unveil our latest signing! Jhesha has joined the Samaa Records family, and we are pumped to start this next journey with her.

Born in Mexico, Jhesha aka Jhess Garcia begun her musical voyage at the age of 6 years old with studying piano lessons. In 2005 she established the psychedelic connection and started attending parties and festivals all around Mexico.

2012 was the year when she decided to give life to her project “Jhesha” by starting to play DJ sets. And since then, she has performed in many different venues around Mexico.

Not too long ago and after being inspired by many producers from the psytrance scene, Jhesha decided to make use of her musical knowledge and venture into the world psychedelic trance production.

Her music contains a lot of magical touches of mystic and powerful psychedelic compositions filled with electric energy and throbbing with powerful night-time grooves that will take you on a breathtaking galactic ride. 

It is worth mentioning that Jhess together with Luis Cruz aka X-Side, have a psytrance project called Ashtar Command (Grasshopper Records).
