HLZ has finally released his highly anticipated debut solo single on Utopia Music, and it's been a long time in the making.

With "Arcane," HLZ takes us on a journey of pure pressure in the way he knows best, stepping rhythms, stabbing yet gut-punching bass design, working in tandem with groovy tablas, clever fx builds, topped with lush euphoric pad work, 170 in the truest form. It's a distinct track that reveals the hidden magic of a B-side.

This release demonstrates why HLZ is a crucial figure in the genre and upholds the core values of D&B.

I met this week's guest recently and we been yapping about dnb non stop....talking about all kinds of stuff really ..he's hilarious and a genuine force of positivity in our community. Representing Texas and North America at large, please welcome J. Augustus. He's a Producer, MC, DJ, and a highly sought-after Host of events. He has worked in various facets of the music industry, including lo-fi, hip-hop, Boom Bap, Drum and Bass, and other underground subgenres. He has been a staple in the Texas live music scene since the late 90s, cementing his talent and ability to connect with his audiences, bringing his own originality to the table. With that, he founded Quaziscience Recordings to showcase his production and offer a platform to other artists across the globe. To be suitably brash, PROX089 sees MVRK stepping up and stepping in with two of the hardest hitting track you are likely to hear in 2016, one outright body twister and one subtle but unforgiving. With support from, giants of the game, Noisia, both Pseudo and Shadow Walking on the flip emanate purity and filth.

Taking each as they come, Pseudo creates a sense of nervous energy from the outset; next to no rollout of the ambience before a change of direction with a hard hitting drum beat. When reaching the drop the sense of release of all the built energy is tantalisingly held back. We have the sounds of a beast straining for release, and MVRK expertly keep hold of the reins. This is one for a big rig and tearing up the dancefloor.

Second, but by no means second best, is Shadow Walking, and instead revels in its ambience, which goes on to  paint an aural mirage alongside hard-line bass stabs. The main body of the track is no different, a low end piece of aggression.
