actually, I never really understood, why this song has not gone further to wider audience. I remember when I heard it first I believed this can be quite a big hit. I think it has a strong character, a very special charm, and it radiates both intelligence and the necessary chilling.

Astrolomy (Mike Slott Remix)

Helix / Två Fontäner, like his previous release, Snow Sketch / Visions, is a 17+ minute slow burning exploration of ambience and rhythm.  Taking cues from the likes of Floating Points, Four Tet and Beacon, the tracks melt Tartaglione's specific brand of atmosphere with a well rounded beat.

Like the shape of it's namesake, Helix twists clanging melodic lines around a mess of white noise and a persistent backbeat.  The track eventually evolves to calm with a sidestick, allowing Två Fontäner's energetic intro and droning background to follow.

Helix / Två Fontäner is the first of a number of releases this year for Planète - who looks to solidify his status as one of Australia's most intriguing producers over the coming months.
