low& the fusion of two creative musical minds with a combined 40 years of audio experience, one hailing from Brazil, the other from Germany. It is rumoured that both independently caught the same low-end signal some 18 years ago - it landed them on a shared spatial plane, otherwise known as ‘London’, whereupon they discovered a shared fascination in underground music and particularly deep and groovy frequencies. „Warped“ is am audio worm , a stream of music making that changes and defines itself while it is played. It creates itself out of itself . One could say it is life inside of their own private idaho. A world quite fantastic, funky and unpredictable.

Second solo LP from Causa Sui guitar player/producer Jonas Munk. These three long pieces aren't defined by Munks signature guitar-approach, but is rather a musical vision of vintage synthesizers, organs, piano and analog electronics elegantly weaved together to create extensive formations of pure sound. The harmonic simplicity and unrestricted dedication to sonic balance and texture is something of a first in Munk's body of work. This is pattern music, characterized by slow builds and subtle, but refined, transformations, where gradual tectonic shifts and tiny harmonic gestures generate vivid emotional responses. Instead of imposing any direct intention or meaning, it's an album that can create a mental environment for the listener to expand and open up into.

Music like this is perceived as incredibly simple and free flowing, but, as is the case with the biological world, reveals textural minutiae and interweaved intricacy once studied close-up. Every tiny detail serves the bigger picture. It's music that's practically vibrating with possibility.

Multi instrumentalist and deep house master producer Lars Bartkuhn returns to Alexander Bradley's Utopia Records, a label whose ambition is to find harmony and balance through sound, design and experience. Fusing organic sounds with electronic soundscapes Bartkuhn’s 10-minute pathway to the African plains does exactly that, An ode to the ’Massai’ takes the listener and dancer on a journey of real depth and positive spirit. With it’s musicality (Bartkuhn on bass, drums, guitar, vocals, piano and synthesizer) complex arrangement and phrasing, ‘Massai' is a timeless and personal statement from Bartkuhn as he seeks the essence of what dance music in 2017 could be, a movement away from repetitive beats and to a more advance and spiritual sound that has been a mainstay in his compositions.
 
Garnering support from the likes of Hunee, MCDE, Ron Trent, Jeremy Underground Paris, Volcov, Bicep and a host of taste makers, Bartkuhn's back on the European music scene after years away in Brazil working on Jazz compositions which only saw the light of day in Japan. Having already lit up Berlin's Panorama Bar for Tamo Sumo and Lakuti with his inspiring live show (that features him on Guitar, vocals, synthesizer and drums) Bartkuhn is set to tour Europe in 2017 with his music more relevant on dance-floors than ever.
