"An important part of touring is the connections you make with different people when travelling around the world. And when going to America, a big part of that experience has been connected to the people around Interdimensional Transmissions and The Bunker NY. While we couldn’t be together in person, I was very glad to be part of Samhain XX streaming online. The set was recorded at my home in Tokyo, but I tried to play how I might have played if I was with everyone in Detroit. Haruka returns to the Podcast series with a menacing second call to battle. This one’s a live recording of his closing set at Bassiani back in May, a seven-hour beast that had everyone breaking a sweat. The Japanese phenom is a master of mood, he builds elaborate compositions inch by inch, infusing his tympanic formulations with strange psychedelic effects and exuberant breaks. Don’t expect them to pay off quickly though, these incremental trips are a reward for the truest connoisseurs of deep Techno. Rural is always a special event for me. Playing in the Japanese mountains in front of my friends, it means a lot. Last year I was on the Sunday night, full of stars, in between Function and Alessandro Cortini. With a 3 hour slot, I had the chance to dive deep and do what I wanted. It was a really positive experience for me so I thought it would be nice to share the recording with you all. Thanks for listening and hope to see you on a dancefloor soon, Wata.
