1997. Steve Von Till back samples of natural sounds as well as some videos from a trip to Ireland, most captured on historic sites (dolmens, stone circles, tombs ...). Surprised by the power near magnetic recordings, he decided along with Noah Landis to use the samples collected for a fairly ambitious project aimed to design a whole audiovisual prompting the viewer to deep meditation. The result: four songs sound a little over an hour each time but all of symbolizing a different direction in space, "North", "South", "East" and "West". Josh Graham for his part was responsible for developing three video loops that constitute the visual part of the whole. Three screens as well as four separate hi-fi sets were cleverly arranged in a round room, repeating loop the audio and video samples, none of which has the same duration in order to limit the probability that the same sequence occurs more than one times during the experience ... 2002. Output limited to 400 copies of "Cairn" which brings together the four discs containing the audio from this experience.

The companion disc to the Neurosis Times Of Grace CD. Grace is sonically designed to be played simultaneously with the Neurosis disc. Alone it possesses the same dynamic flow, fundamental texture and emotional impact as Times Of Grace. Played together these recordings create a unique multi-dimensional sound experience.
