This one is such an inspiring session from start to finish for so many reasons... hmm well it was the first time I did my show live from Rinse FM in London! It felt good to be back in the studio. We were fresh out of a sold out XOYO show from the night before w/ the announcement/debut of our latest signee @samgellaitry. Feeling overwhelmed. &#13;

Ta-ku and I hung out recently when he was in Los Angeles for a couple of days and were able to catch up on life, music, photography (shouts to Eric Coleman / Mochilla), eat tacos, sushi, chill with Esta, Carmack, Mike Gao and play music. I'll never forget this. Before we knew it Ta-ku did a 30 minute set and sat down with me to and talk about everything from his travels, latest business ventures, Artists Envy, Songs To Make Up To, his passion for Men's Grooming, Photography, and much more. Ta-ku is one of the realest and most down to earth people you'll ever meet, he's definitely family. &#13;

Just came back from our showcases in Shanghai and Beijing, and I am feeling super invigorated. Being able to converse in Mandarin with Howie Lee and the Do Hits! crew certainly brought us closer together, and we are currently planning a quarterly residency with them in Beijing - Keep an eye out for that, but in the meantime, soak up the latest IN 30. Slightly rough around the edges in certain segments, but hey there's the beauty of improvisation. I hope you enjoy the selections nonetheless.

Knlo (aka Kenlo, aka Kenlo Craqnuques) remains one of Montreal’s best kept secrets. Ask anyone in the beats / hip-hop scene and they will all swear that he is one of the most talented, influential and unique artists we have.  And as for the worldwide perspective, he deserves to be mentioned as one of the best in world in the Producer + MC category.

It isn’t only his talent that floors me, it’s that he’s always been truly free as an artist. The man never plays it safe and keeps his music moving forward even if sometimes some of his ideas might be a bit “out there.” We could use a little bit of mentally challenging, progressive hip-hop anyway!

After countless years of getting KNLO’s records on CD-R’s, Myspace, Blogspot, Rapidshare links it will feel fantastic to finally hold his official debut album in my hands. The 7ieme ciel label deserve a lot of props for having the vision of putting this out.

I’ve had “Long Jeu” for a while now so I can guarantee that you are in for a treat!

Here is a little discussion I had with him along with a few album teasers including a fantastic mini-documentary exploring a day in the life of KNLO.

This mix was inspired by hot summer days, sunflowers in my vase, feelings of melancholy, and Sofia Coppola films, particularly Lost in Translation.
