Né dans une enceinte et bercé près du caisson, https://soundcloud.com/mirzika produit un mélange de techno et de trance où s’associent lignes de basse grondantes, synthés acides et mélodies oniriques, et cherche à travers sa musique à mêler l’énergie du groove et la force de l’émotion. Il a précédemment sorti un remix du classique Family Affair de Mary J. Blige sur TFD Records, et self-release régulièrement ses productions. Il est maintenant basé à Berlin où il co-gère https://soundcloud.com/moto_perpetuo, plateforme musicale de mixes techno bi-mensuels et d’organisation d’évènements.

For the occasion, we present you https://soundcloud.com/mirzika, a young Parisian artist based in Berlin.

Born in a loudspeaker and cradled by the subwoofer, https://soundcloud.com/mirzika produces a mix of techno and trance where rumbling bass lines, acidic synths and dreamy melodies are combined, and seeks through his music to mix the energy of the groove and the strength of the emotion. He has previously released a remix of Mary J. Blige's classic Family Affair on TFD Records, and regularly self-releases his productions. He is now based in Berlin where he co-manages https://soundcloud.com/moto_perpetuo, a bi-monthly techno mix and event platform.

Raise and Radio Loubard are proud to present Epistolar.

Epistolar is the first Various Artist of an epistolary genre, originating from a collaboration between Raise Records and Radio Loubard. Its structure is composed of correspondences of several authors, several characters, several sensibilities, and several messages. Aiming at co-constructing a story in perpetual motion, Epistolar is the result of various connections on which each artist depends.

The concept is simple : an artist produces a track which is sent to another artist whose mission is to freely modify the initial message. The artist adds to this letter his or her message before sending it to another artist. The recipient does the same without knowing what the first artists composed and so on.

Epistolar’s narrative is available to new authors, encouraging the continuation of a never-ending, evolving and collaborative story. Listening to it as a conversation between artists, the listener is introduced to the various connections making him/her an integral part of the movement.

CAIVA - Lettre de Caiva à ÅMRTÜM

CAIVA exploded onto the scene last year with her folk, jazz and classical blend of hard-hitting techno on Take Me Higher on Lobster Theremin. Now the just-outside-of-Munich artist follows up one of the singles of the year with a complete body of work exploring high velocity sounds and experiences, and comes complete with two wicked remixes from Parisian producer Trudge and Julian Muller. 

‘Vigour’ is an intergalactic, bass-driven jam utilising CAIVAs ghostly, folk-like vocals to haunting effect. A tale of two stories; the majority of the track is destined for the club, whilst the breakdown provides a pop-fuelled moment of contemplation. Emotional and powerful escapism. ‘Take Me Higher’ follows this depth of inspiration with a blend of euphoria and sadness with a high power cut of trance-techno that’s as devastating as it is beautiful. 

Julian Muller is first up on remix duties as he takes on ‘Vigour’; a typically arcade-inspired trip through the modern trance-techno sound and the high-speed aesthetic of the nineties, before Trudge closes with an ethereal cut of typically textured rhythms within an anxious soundscape.
